We stopped over in Kakamas on our way back from Namibia in July this year. I was pleasantly surprised by the good value accommodation and the convenience of the place. We had dinner at the restaurant and to my surprise they had a great wine selection too.

We had lunch there on our road trip to the Augrabies. When we were there last (quite a few years ago) it was stil under the name Vergelegen. What a lovely experience, the staff are so friendly and the service is great. We had the Kalahari Schnitzel, and oh my goodness. Each bite was scrumptious. It was so delicious that we went back days later on our way back home.

They helped us with the family room eventhough it was under maintenance. However it was dirty and the bedding was of poor quality. We were cold the whole night. There was no extra blankets. The breakfast included was also not up to standard.

Safe parking, nice room and restaurant. Convenient stop along our way to Springbok. Will definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff; dinner good in restaurant and take-away breakfast parcels very good. Room well below expected standard. 2 non matching cups without saucers. Only one rusk. One small container of milk. No spoons; one small plastic strainer. Toilet seat loose. No floor mats/towels in bathroom for use in front of shower or basin.

I booked and fully paid for three nights over the hotel website. I was then phoned two days before arrival and informed that my last night was cancelled because the hotel was fully booked for that night. A large group was arriving and I got booted for their booking. Worst of all is I was asked to recover my money from the booking company myself. Me, and the people working for me, will not stay here again. Make sure you have a Plan B when staying here.

I stayed at this establishment over the Easter weekend while visiting Augrabies Falls National Park. I spent two nights there. The room was clean and spacious, equipped with a bar fridge, selected DStv channels, and a large bathroom that included an outdoor shower. I did not make use of the on-site restaurant, as the meals were quite expensive compared to several other hotels and local restaurants. Instead, I opted for KFC. The breakfast provided was basic but sufficient. On the first evening, I had four Chinese nationals in the neighboring room. Unfortunately, they were smoking excessively and were quite loud. As a result, I chose to have my dinner and wine next to the dam on the premises instead of staying in the room. This experience suggests that with the wrong neighbors, noise could be an issue. Overall, this accommodation is a good option for a stopover if you're traveling long distances although I feel you might get better options at a better rate per night.

I travelled for business and the accommodation was well equipt for work and stay. Staff friendly. The cupboards inside dusty.
