I booked this hotel because of its vicinity to the airport, I have seen the klm stewards use it as well. Thought would be convenient. First, as I arrived it smelled strongly of toilet at the reception, I decided to overlook it. The receptionist was nice, checked into my room almost an hour before and this was kind. I asked her which would be the best way to arrive to the airport the next day, I said would be fine if I left by 12, would have plenty of time. She did not correct me. Then in the room I found blond hair in the sheets of one bed, changed to the other. In the washing sink was a small dark one. The soap near the sink was stuck. I paid extra 17.5 euros per breakfast, was average and not worth its money. The worst thing however was that at 11.02 I received a call saying the check out was at 11, I said ok, was almost already anyway. Still had to take on my shoes and use the restroom. At 11.08 I hear how my room suddenly gets opened and hits against the door of the bathroom. It was the male receptionist of Asian ethnicity (did not notice his name, hence this detail, I am as a dedicated children’s doctor the least discriminatory person you will ever meet) simply getting in even though the ‘do not disturb sign’ was on. I was simply in the hall in front of the doors looking around the room one last time. As I went down I did complain and said this was none in the least acceptable, what would have happened if I wasn’t dressed or simply had an emergency need to use the bathroom. Do you find any reason why someone would open a room with the do not disturb sign on 8 minutes after check out time, more so without first knocking???!
