Mélanie is the hostess with the mostest at this utterly charming historical property. Speaks excellent English as needed. Cats and chickens add to the ambience. Location in a beautiful, old district (Schiltigheim) outside the touristic centre, but just a short bus ride away, really gives you a feel for regular life in Strasbourg, and that's the best kind of travel!

If you are looking for a charming, everything is perfect BnB, look no further. The house, built in 1687, has been completely renovated. It proprietress, Melanie, Jung, is quintessentially warm, welcoming and attentive - you know, the way you wish humanity was. Our room was an ample size. It had a closet, an extra bed and a comfortably sized shower. The only negative is that we happened in for 2 exceedingly hot nights. There is no air conditioning. We slept with doors open. We were still hot but there was nothing anyone could do about it. We did have a big fan in the room, however. This was the only downside. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. There are good restaurants within a stone’s throw. We would stay there again without hesitation. This truly is such a nice stay that I can not even remove a star for the lack of air conditioning. Chambre au calme propre et très bien décorée. Literie top confort. Accueil chaleureux et petit déjeuner très copieux. Je recommande vivement. Mélanie est de bon conseil. Strasbourg est facilement accessible grâce au bus ou au tram situés à 5 min à pieds.

Dit is een aanrader. Melanie is erg vriendelijk en de kamer heel rustig en schoon. De omgeving is leuk met veel restaurants. Met de bus (5 minuten lopen) ben je binnen 10 minuten in het centrum van Straatsburg. In het weekend kun je er gratis parkeren in de wijk. Ontbijt is goed verzorgd met lekkere streekgerechten.

Soggiorno di tre notti in una tipica casa del 1560 circa. Posto incantevole, con giardino privato, una camera spaziosa e ben arredata. La proprietaria, signora Melanie, gentilissima ci ha accolto con calore e discrezione. Ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni utili per i ristoranti e quelle turistiche. Non ultima, come importanza, un ottima colazione servita in una accogliente sala che pareva un museo..Veramente bella. A bientot! (:

Nous venons de passer 2 jours dans cette vraie maison d'hôtes, la maitresse des lieux vous accueille avec sourire et sympathie et vous donnera de bons conseils de visite. La chambre Campagne est typique avec ses poutres apparentes, la literie est très confortable. La localisation à 10 mn à pied du tram vous permet un accès sans problème au centre de Strasbourg. Pas de table d'hôtes mais de nombreux et très bons restaurants en 5 à 10 mn à pied.

Nous avons séjourné trois nuits dans la chambre campagne. C'était parfait ! La chambre était propre et joliment décorée. La literie est très confortable. Le logement est calme et bien placé (moins de 10 minutes du tram B). Le gros plus est le super accueil et le petit-déjeuner avec des spécialités locales différentes chaque matin. Je recommande vivement ce gîte. Nous reviendrons certainement.

Quel plaisir après un périple de 918 km en vélo d'arriver dans ce lieu formidable et d'être reçu avec un si grand sourire. Mélanie ne se départit pas de ce sourire et met tout en oeuvre pour que nous soyons satisfaits. Chambres très confortables, petits déjeûners acccompagnés de viennoiseries locales meilleures les unes que les autres. A cela ajouter l'excellent positionnement par rapport au centre de Strasbourg, les supers conseils pour la restauration proche de la chambre d'hôtes. Le rapport qualité/prix est excellent.

Un lieu enchanteur, dépaysant, près de Strasbourg à moins de 3 km en vélo, où nous avons vraiment très bien circulé car c'est "La" ville du vélo en toute sécurité, géniale. Nous avons fait le tour de Strasbourg, on a trop aimé... 👍👍👍 Nous avons été très bien accueillis par la propriétaire des lieus, elle nous a informé sur tout se que nous pouvions voir et faire à Strasbourg qui est une belle ville au passage. Nous avions une chambre très joliment décorée et très propre, le matelas très bon et une belle salle de bain. Le petit déjeuner trop bon avec des spécialités Alsacienne, du sucré et du salé, il y en a pour tous le monde... Bref un séjour inoubliable que nous recommandons les yeux fermés. Merci à la propriétaire qui prend soin de ces convives. 😁👍
