Location: Very convenient, close to the train station and the main street;
Breakfast: Basically no refill, only early birds can get it

Top Lage. Sehr freundliches Personal. Als Bettmümpfeli gab es Gottlieber Hüppen. Auf Wunsch zusätzliche Spezial-Kissen möglich. Schönes Frühstücksbüffet. Auf Wunsch auch mit Fleisch oder Fisch. Beim Check out bekommt man noch ein Mineralwasser für die Heimreise.

In der hübschen Altstadt von Schaffhausen liegt das Sorell Hotel Rüden, in einem wunderbar sorgfältig renovierten Haus. Das ganze Gebäude ist äusserst charmant, auch die Zimmer sind ausgesprochen hübsch, dazu noch zu einem tollen Preis. Das Hotel ist aber wohl eher in der kälteren Jahreszeit attraktiv, da die Zimmer über keine Balkone verfügen. Auch muss das Auto zu einem Aufpreis von CHF 20.- in der etwa 5-10 Gehminuten entfernten Garage parkiert werden. Aber all dies gesagt: Sollte ich wieder hier unterwegs sein, werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder im Sorell Hotel Rüden übernachten.

This was our favourite hotel on our week long cycling tour of Lake Constance. We were met by a very friendly receptionist who offered us complimentary soft drinks and ice cream on arrival (the ice cream needed eating up!). She gave us helpful tips of what to see and where to eat. An equally lovely receptionist offered us complimentary bottked water on departure. A beautiful and grand hotel.

Hier hin kommen wie immer wieder gerne zurück! Ein tolles Hotel und sehr schön eingerichtet mit alten Bauelementen und frischer Architektur. Wunderbar mit der Familie einige Tage in Schaffhausen zu verbringen. Das Personal ist äusserst freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer mit etwas Humor :-)

Petit hôtel plein de charme, dans une vieille båtisse dont les chambres sont rénovées mettant en avant les poutres apparentes. La literie est très bonne. Petit déjeuné avenant et approvisionné avec soin. Jeune équipe très sympathique, souriante et de bon conseil pour les restaurants.

Idéalement placé dans la vieille ville et à deux pas de la gare, l’hôtel Sorel est un havre de silence la nuit tombée. Le bâtiment est classé et il a fallu beaucoup d’ingéniosité pour y installer des chambres fonctionnelles, toutes légèrement différentes. Très belle salle de concerts et de séminaires. Petit-déjeuner « écolo- responsable ». Réception aux petits soins des hôtes : une adresse à retenir
