Poorly cleaned cold tap wouldn't turn off no restaurant no pool curtains drained of colour they've been up so long nothing like what advertised above not sure if it's with it being out of season may change when in season but such a waste of a beautiful big building

this hotel is disgusting the room is dirty and there is drug needles on the floor while there is kids running around. there wasn’t anyone on the reception when we first came we had to wait 30 minutes then trying to kick us out of the hotel for talking and laughing and we did say sorry but we all had a drink and we couldnt drive are cars and there would be no where for us to go and he was threatening us and he basically admitted that there was cameras in this room he said we can see and hear everything so i said is there cameras in this room he said “yeh there is cameras” but then changed his words and said he never said that and also we all fell asleep and this man unlocked the door! while we was all in the bed i am disgusted.

This place is absolutely disgusting. I will be calling The HSE and North Yorkshire county council to close this place down. It is derelict, has exposed live cables hanging around the building, asbestos tiles are damaged exposing potentially lethal asbestosis to anyone entering the place.

Tired old hotel.
The place is totally run down and neglected. No facilities as such and wouldn't like to stay here more than one night. Room was clean with decent TV and coffee and tea available. Beds just about bearable.
20 minute walk to the beach but nothing near the hotel.
The hotel used to have hydrotherapy facilities and a swimming pool, but now all is closed off.
Would I stop here again.. NO.

AVOID
Avoid - in major need of modernisation, unclean rooms which smelt, dirty mattresses, never stayed the night and refused refund.

Clean and spacious rooms
Very comfortable stay. Clean and spacious beds. Value for money. We got a beautiful view across the park and mountains with a large patio.
Couple of things as suggestions:
1= The children's park needs some maintenance so children can enjoy.
2= Since there's no kitchen service available out of hours, I'd request for some food heating round the clock, so we can enjoy our dinner ordered form outside.
Overall, I personally liked it and would definitely visit with my family!!

Older hotel, but clean and great value.
Lovely old building and in need of updating, but the hotel was clean, comfortable, friendly, and by far the best value we could find online.
If they modernise and refit, they could double their costs and still be value.
