Mansion House

Last week we spent the night for my 60th birthday at The Mansion House revisiting my childhood home being an old Scarborian. Right from the wonderful warm welcome ( SO sorry cannot remember your name but you were so lovely ) - and Honey your woofer who my daughters ( and us ) fell in love with to the super breakfast before our departure - everything was top notch. We had a standard sea view twin room for my daughters and a superb deluxe for ourselves with amazing views across the South bay - what a place to sit having a morning cuppa in the bay window watching the sun come up across the bay. Everything was spotless - and the lounge with honesty bar was a lovely space. We will be back - but next time for a longer stay !!! Cannot recommend enough Thank you !!

Great 3 night stay in the Mahogany apartment. Cath and Mark were incredibly helpful and friendly as usual. Breakfast downstairs was delicious as usual. This apartment is great for entertaining and we were able to have family members over for fish and chips. We have now been visiting Mansion House for over 20 years and will continue to do so whenever we visit Scarborough. Highly recommended.

Lovely clean and well equipped rooms, if alittle small. Excellent breakfast

Really good B&B. A few minutes walk to the Spa. Town a little further, but an easy stroll overall. All staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast food hot and tasty. Everywhere cleaned to a very high standard.

We had to travel to the UK from france for a funeral, the hotel we had stayed at before was closed but they recommended Mansion House WOW!!!! from the minute we arrived until we left we felt as if we had walked into a top London hotel….we we’re warmly greeted by the owner who helped us with our luggage and settled us into our room which was lovely and warm and comfortable…. after a comfortable nights sleep we went down for breakfastWow again so much selection and the cooked breakfast was absolutely amazing…they had kindly arranged for our bedroom to be cleaned etc while we had breakfast so that we had time to get changed to attend the funeral so very thoughtful. I made the chef laugh on the second morning by saying sorry chef it’s 11 out of 10 for breakfast again. We had 3 nights there and everything was spotlessly clean we just couldn’t find fault with anything….sadly we now have no family in Scarborough to visit but we will most certainly recommend Mansion House to our friends and family…..If we do ever find ourselves in the area again we will definitely stay there again….thank you Jonathan, Helen,Mark and Sylvia plus the cleaner of our room and the breakfast staff for a truly wonderful stay at a sad time for us.
