Great location,a five minutes stroll to all the shops. And not far from the steps that take you down to the sea front. On arrival, lady on reception did not come across very friendly, she never smiled, just I suppose, did her job, gave us information about our room ect and wanted us to pay, just not very welcoming, which was ashame, as first impressions is everything. We stayed in the Glaisdale suite. The living room and bedroom was a good size and clean. The bathroom was very outdated, mould around the bath tiles , bath panel cracked, toilet seat was not on properly and every time you sat on it ,it moved and you felt you were going to fall off. We did report the toilet seat, and still was not mended on departure. The shower was nice and hot and powerful. There was a bad smell of drains coming from the bath waste. The bed was lovely and big and comfortable. View from the windows not the best, overlooking the car park. Breakfast was very nice, and a good variety of food . The bar had a good selection of drinks and their lattes were the best I've had in a long time. All bar staff and serving staff were friendly. The lounge felt very cosy and relaxing. The free private car park was just around the corner, it did look a bit run down, and some of the car parking spaces were tight, we parked there for the weekend and we had no issues.

This is really is a gem of a hotel. Really well situation in the heart of Scarborough close to all the amenities. Great service, delicious food and friendly staff all at great value for money prices. The rooms are very clean, with a super restaurant and Lounge. Look at for the special offers and deals, the champagne at dinner was a real treat. The complimentary underground car park is brilliant. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Always a pleasure to be back at the Palm Court hotel , professional Service from signing in to leaving . Eating in the lounge with an excellent selection of food and relaxing in the evenings with a pint , not forgetting the excellent freshly cooked breakfasts in the restaurant are the reasons we keep returning .

Best hotel in Scarborough. Me and my mum go every year and we love the place and all the staff . They are all very hard working. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food is lovely and drinks too. Top barman David has been there along time and is friendly with everyone and hard working. Our stay this time was a laugh from start to finish with one thing and another that happened. Wedding party that was there involved me and mum in celebrations. It was great to meet new friends. Thanks everyone. Carron xxx

We cannot fault the staff and facilities at The Palm Court Hotel generally, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and service in the restaurant was excellent. Nur as Food & Beverage manger was sublime he obviously had an eye for detail and marshalled the staff accordingly. They were all polite and efficient. The only minor observation was that the room we stayed in required a bathroom uplift because it was, politely, tired and the water pressure was abysmal. However, that didn’t distract from our enjoyment of the hotel overall and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and return ourselves.

This is a lovely calm relaxing hotel. The fact that they have their own car park made the trip for us. The down side is that they allocate your room for you. We had room 26 and it was so small you could hardly move. No table to sit at and have coffee etc and a dreadful view. We passed by lots of rooms which looked great but alas we didn’t get one of those. We understand room 20 was very small too according to its occupants. The housekeeping standards were definitely not up to par. Dirty drawers, cobwebs, bathroom half cleaned, dirty skirting boards and glasses not washed properly. Breakfast was lovely the only downside was the coffee which was far too strong but was rectified with hot water. Having raised my issues no one seemed particularly interested or concerned. The bar area and seating area outside were very nice indeed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding etc was fresh and soft. If we could book a room we would go back but we wouldn’t take the gamble. However we still enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

This is the second time that we have booked this hotel. We loved it the first time, had no issues so booked a 4 day break. Room lovely with a walk in shower. Breakfasts and all meals were fantastic. Could not fault the staff. We only had one issue, during the night the fire alarm went off so we vacated the hotel. There was only a night manager on duty and he was on his mobile phone to someone about the alarm so didn’t keep us informed. After about 40 mins we decided to go back to our rooms but could not get to sleep for worrying. The next day not one member of staff mentioned the alarm. We thought that two night managers should be on duty so that one could look after the guests and one to locate the problem, which turned out to be a water leak.

I stayed at The Palm Court for the first time last night, whilst on business - and I'm so glad I did! Friendly and professional staff, comfortable rooms, free parking, free and efficient WiFi (I had no problems working from there), and a wonderful breakfast this morning. It's an independent hotel that uses local suppliers for its restaurant and room refreshments, which includes free range bacon and sausages, free range eggs and tea/coffee from Taylor's of Harrogate - so nice to get proper Yorkshire tea in the room instead of the awful generic 'English breakfast' blend so many others use. I will definitely be staying again for work, and will be booking for my family next time we're on the coast for the Open Air Theatre etc. Would highly recommend.
