Great location,a five minutes stroll to all the shops. And not far from the steps that take you down to the sea front. On arrival, lady on reception did not come across very friendly, she never smiled, just I suppose, did her job, gave us information about our room ect and wanted us to pay, just not very welcoming, which was ashame, as first impressions is everything. We stayed in the Glaisdale suite. The living room and bedroom was a good size and clean. The bathroom was very outdated, mould around the bath tiles , bath panel cracked, toilet seat was not on properly and every time you sat on it ,it moved and you felt you were going to fall off. We did report the toilet seat, and still was not mended on departure. The shower was nice and hot and powerful. There was a bad smell of drains coming from the bath waste. The bed was lovely and big and comfortable. View from the windows not the best, overlooking the car park. Breakfast was very nice, and a good variety of food . The bar had a good selection of drinks and their lattes were the best I've had in a long time. All bar staff and serving staff were friendly. The lounge felt very cosy and relaxing. The free private car park was just around the corner, it did look a bit run down, and some of the car parking spaces were tight, we parked there for the weekend and we had no issues.
