Was a fantastic stay hotel was good room was clean and bedding spotless plenty to do around Scarborough the hotel is central 👌

Close to the beach and train station. But there are a lot of birds and bird droppings around the hotel, so the smell is serious, the corridors and room floors are dirty, there are small flying insects, no refrigerator, no wifi. There is free wifi in the lobby on the 0th floor. There are singing and dancing performances in the evening.

Really sad looking hotel, not too fussed about the lobby etc as we were just stopping the night. Room was spacious but clearly not cleaned properly, once we moved the beds (closer to avoid kids falling out the bed) dirt, dust, crumbs and cobwebs were revealed. Really gross to be honest.
Bathroom was spacious but again discoloration evident thanks to bacteria, ergo not cleaned well enough.
Definitely would not recommend.

The Scarborough Grand Hotel it’s definitely worth a visit. It’s a magnificent hotel located above the beach that gives you amazing views of the coastline from the terrace.

Expected small room, fair for its price.
Unfortunately, we booked a room with a window, but the window cannot be opened. Even if it could be opened, you wouldn’t want to, as there are bird nests outside, and the area around the window is covered in bird droppings. The window is also surrounded by white bird manure. Whether it’s day or night, you’ll constantly hear the chirping of birds since this is their habitat.
The room itself was untidy, with bugs on the bed sheets, which were also covered in dust.
Although the location is great, there are other hotel options nearby. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, unless maye you choose a room without windows.
