The service is very slow! After I check in my luggage still left in the driveway 1.5 hours later! The shower don’t work and it takes four hours before someone come to repair it. They don’t clean their room until 4 pm ! And the New Year’s Eve party was disorganised staff were not attentive. The location is isolated. The hotel did not offer any shuttle. There is a lot of steps to navigate if you want to visit the beach; the food in the restaurant are expensive, but the quality is not too good.

My family and l really enjoyed our stay at Bacelot Beach Club. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and also upgraded to a sea view room which was amazing to hear the waves in the morning. The rooms were very clean and had beautiful views. We travelled in May so the hotel was very quiet which we didn’t mind. The pool and beach was very nice but I would recommend Pigeon Point Beach to experience white clear sand and calmer waves. I drove and personallywould recommend doing so if staying at this hotel as there’s not much to do near by. All the staff were attentive and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Where do I begin to praise the Bacolet Beach Club? It was my first visit there, but it most certainly won't be my last! A friend had visited earlier this year, and she was so excited about what it had to offer, she asked if I wanted to go back there with her. I'm now hooked too, and can't wait for my next stay. From the moment we were collected from the airport by Thessa Marie Samuya, (who is in charge of much of the every day running of the hotel) to the time we left, nothing was too much trouble. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, and the friendliness of the staff. Everyone had a smile and a genuine desire to make certain we enjoyed ourselves. That is, whether we were on the premises, or going out to any of the locations. I was keen to buy some Toboggan chocolate, and Ricky, one of the very helpful staff members, was delighted to drive us to a place where the chocolate was made on the premises. I was so happy, and he just beamed because he knew it meant a lot to me to be able to go there. The restaurant was small and intimate, which I liked. I don't like feeling like I'm queuing up for a school dinner in a canteen, so this was lovely! Although the menu didn't change in the two weeks we were there, there was plenty to choose from, so it was fun deciding how much of the menu to explore. The meals were nicely presented, and we were served at our table for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was self-service. There were few things that had supplement add-ons, and even the lobster was next to nothing when added to our bill. Fully Inclusive was definitely a good choice, because all the delicious cocktails were included. There were a lot of steps to take you down to the private beach, but there was a handrail, and if I can manage (I'm in my 70s) then anyone can! The beach was clean, and there was a beach bar at the foot of the steps, so when once down there, one could stay all day if desired. All the girls in the restaurant were warm and friendly. I cant remember all their names, but there was Donna, Bella, Megan and I think Shenesca, but I may have got that spelling wrong! Anyway, they all worked hard to create a great atmosphere and to serve good food. If only I could think of everyone else's names! There were two swimming pools for anyone not keen on the sea, and those were kept spotlessly clean and hygienic too. My room had the most amazing views across the bay, and at the end of each afternoon, before getting ready for dinner, I enjoyed sitting on my balcony and reading my book. The loungers were very nice quality, and easy to sink into. The cleaners made certain the room was left beautifully each day, and if we bumped into each other, there was always a beaming smile and an exchange of a few warm words. Each week there was a welcome BBQ on the beach, and music played to add to the atmosphere. There was also entertainment in the sister hotel across the road. As for Gloria and Reinhold, the owners of the Bacolet Beach Club, well, the

I took my parents for a few days to Bacolet Beach Club and our experience was awesome. The property was beautiful, my hotel suit was fabulous. Gloria and Reinhold did a fantastic job with their hotel🥰 My grand-kids and my parents totally enjoyed the grounds they were in the pool constantly; not to mention the food that was absolutely delicious! I have to mention that the staff was wonderful and very accommodating. I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a hotel or resort that is beautiful and convenient to all the shops and tourist attractions. If you have elderly parents you can ask for easy accessible suits for their needs! Yolande

We really enjoyed our stay. Very helpful Reception staff, excellent food, room and beach. We were in the multi storey block facing the sea which has excellent views and decor. We made the right choice by going all inclusive. There aren't any shops nearby so it's a taxi ride into Scarborough or a 20+ minute walk along the road for a supermarket or a restaurant. Also I was told that all inclusive guests are usually placed in the modern multi storey blocks facing the sea. The hotel has been developed in at least three phases: the "club" part on the opposite side of the road, the Reception area and two multi storey blocks. I believe that not all of the older blocks have been refurbished yet, hence some of the reviews. As always you don't like your room, speak nicely to Reception. The beach is what you would hope for with the overhanging trees offering shade f you want it and a very gentle slope into the sea. If you want absolute peace and quiet, turn right out of the hotel and after 100m turn right at the sign down the path to another beach. Take a towel to sit on as there's nothing apart from a broken plastic sunbed. We went to Scarborough to see the Botanical Gardens which were rather disappointing. We also went to the fort which was interesting. A boat trip to the coral reef is a good day out. We saw three fish and some rather grey coral. If you don't want very loud reggae, ask for the small quiet boat . If we go back to Tobago we would stay there again.

Firstly the view from our balcony was breathtaking, the beach was lovely and quiet, no fighting for sunbeds and at most there were only 10 couples on the beach at any one time. But that being said this is not an all inclusive resort. The journey up and down to the beach would be very difficult if you have a disability. Steps uneven and very steep. The beach bar is advertised as opening at 10 and closing at 4, many days it didn't open at the time specified and there were days it closed at 2. The toilet at the beach bar is a health and safety risk, black pan and no clean sink, no appropriate facilities to clean or dry your hands Although the room was spacious there were health and safety issues and in the bathroom the shower unit was covered in limecale, there were holes under the sink and the plugs in the sink did not close properly. In the room there were sockets that were not fitted properly to the wall. The food offered was stated as alacarte, although excited on the first two nights, it became very samey with every thing staring to taste the same, although everything was cooked well. There were things on the menu that wasn't included in the all inclusive package.Breakfast was poor, every morning scrambled eggs( and dependent on what time you arrived had an issue on whether the eggs were cooked well or dry as cardboard). Beans, bread for toast, yoghurt pots, and different additions every day. There was no explanation as to what drinks were included in the all inclusive Package The mini bar should have been restocked every week, but was never restocked in the time we were there. Another disappointment was that there was very little to do in the evening. There was a bar across the road, but wasn't open every night and even if you did use it, it wasn't included in the all inclusive package. So when the restaurant closed at 9.30 the only option was to go back to your room. And then you had to pay for anything you wanted to watch on the TV( but that could be down to not being tech savvy). The balcony view was lovely, being on a lovely golden Carribbean beach was great, is it a prime destination then I have to say sorry no. The holiday reps or organisations need to visit and give it a realistic star rating. The website is selling a pup!!!

When reading other reviews of this hotel before visiting, it was difficult to comprehend how mixed they were - many with 5 stars and others with just 1 star. Having stayed there with family, I think I understand. It comes down to the room you’re allocated. The hotel location is good, and the small private beach is lovely (although quite a lot of steep steps to reach it). As with many hotels, it’s the people that really make it, and the staff at BBC were brilliant: very friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The service was generally good (although the hotel wasn’t all that busy) and the quality of the meals was superb in general. Breakfast was a reasonably simple buffet, and other meals were a la carte, but everything was very good. The evening meal on the beach was fantastic and a highlight of our stay. Where improvement is required is in the rooms. Our deluxe family room needed total refurbishment, and it looked as if that had already begun in some parts. The hotel management took responsibility and some minor things were fixed straight away. After a few days, we were moved to another room on the other side of the hotel, which was much better. The communal areas were quite pleasant overall. The 2 pools were very clean, although the surroundings could have done with a bit of tlc, as others have mentioned. In summary, If you’re booked into either the west wing or the Tower, the experience should be fine. The other side of the hotel, where Reception is located, really needs refurbishment to bring it up to the standards it deserves. There’s plenty to see and do in the area, and the hotel’s taxi service is brilliant! We used it several times, and it was punctual plus very good value. The staff and management at BBC were excellent, the food and drinks, and service were fantastic. Some rooms are very good, others not, so choose well!

Nice hotel really friendly staff and all happy to help. Room faced pool which was a lovely view. Clean and tidy just bathroom shower head needed a clean. Plastic cover on balcony could be prettier and pool needs some TLC. Walk down steep steps to beach which was an alcove very pretty. Restaurant food was good. Breakfast basic but nothing wrong with any of it. Again staff in restaurant lovely. Day trip around Tabago with Ricky very long day lots of beaches to see and a lot of driving but overall good day with drinks and food.

Our first impressions weren't brilliant as we arrived after a long haul trip in the dark feeling hot and tired to no cool welcome drink in reception. Arriving in our standard deluxe room we both wanted to jump in the shower but there were no towels, no hairdryer and very few hangers in the wardrobe. a quick call to reception and towels arrived with apologies. The room was clean and spacious with air-conditioning and a large balcony giving a great view of the beautiful little beach and the Caribbean sea. Unfortunately, the pool area below looked rather neglected with dead plants in pots and grass growing in the paving. Another issue was there is no door between the loo and the room, only a partition wall meaning little privacy when nature calls! The tropical gardens leading down to the beach were beautiful, full of birds and iguanas. We all thought they should hang hummingbird feeders on the dining room balcony as it would have been a real treat to see these stunning little birds up close. One night per week they light a fire on the beach and guests can eat there which is lovely. The cafe food is international snd decent although we regularly used a street stall, a 5 minute walk down the road (opposite a cemetery) for a more traditional lunchtime snack of Tobagan pies and doubles - well worth a short, hot walk. Breakfast was a bit of a mishmash. Fabulous fruit but the hot food could be labelled as we couldn’t tell what some of the dishes were. What gives this review a five star plus is the staff and management who go above and beyond to ensure all guests are happy at all times. Late checkout was a bonus allowing us to enjoy a final day by the pool before showering and freshening up for a 3.30pm departure. It is a quiet and beautiful location and I can recommend a stay here.
