We spent a night at Six Senses Fort Barwara, but what a special experience it turned out to be. Set inside a beautifully restored 14th-century fort, the property has a quiet, grounding charm — luxurious, yes, but in a way that feels deeply connected to place and purpose. We stayed in the Aravali Suite, which was stunning — spacious, serene, and full of thoughtful touches. It somehow managed to feel both grand and homely at the same time. They had even left us a few healthy treats in the room like bliss balls and protein bars, which felt very “Six Senses.” The food was fantastic — clean, nourishing, and full of flavour. The breakfast spread was especially memorable, with homemade granola, local honey, moringa parathas, and more. And we have to mention the chai station — they bring in a local lady from a nearby village to brew tea at breakfast, and it was genuinely some of the best we’ve had. We went back for second (and third) cups! A big part of what made our stay so lovely were the people. Sahil was an absolute gem — kind, friendly, and always checking in to make sure we were looked after. And Nafisa at the restaurant was just as warm and welcoming — her service made both breakfast and dinner feel extra special. That said, a few things could’ve been better. The pillows on our outdoor swing had mould, the outdoor shower area had a strange smell, and the mattress near the outside seating was damp from the rain — instead of being removed, it had just been placed behind the swing, which felt a bit careless. For the price point, you do expect a higher standard of cleanliness and attention to detail. Still, it was a beautiful and refreshing stay. Even with just one night, we left feeling relaxed and recharged.

Six Senses Fort is an absolutely breathtaking venue, and it holds an even more special place in my heart as it was the location for my wedding. The entire team is exceptional—polite, attentive, and truly dedicated. A special shoutout to Sayantani, who was my constant support throughout the entire wedding process. She went above and beyond, even staying extra hours to ensure everything went smoothly. Amit rajput from the restaurant is another standout—his kindness and politeness made the dining experience unforgettable. The property itself is nothing short of magical. With its blend of 14th-century architecture, ancient temples, and majestic palace structures, Six Senses Fort transports you to a different time. The walls, dating back to the 14th century, have witnessed centuries of history, including the fierce battles that once took place within its fortifications. The fort served as a key strategic point during various wars, with defenders using the fort’s towering walls and hidden passageways to protect the region. The echoes of history still resonate within the grounds, adding an undeniable depth to the atmosphere. Adding to the allure is the serene Chauth Ka Barwara Temple, located nearby, which is the only temple dedicated to Karwa Chauth Mata in India. The temple, steeped in its own history, complements the peaceful and spiritual ambiance of Six Senses. Despite its ancient charm, the property has been thoughtfully modernized to offer all the luxury and comfort one could wish for. The food, guest services, and room accommodations exceeded all expectations, and every moment felt like a dream come true. The combination of heritage, spirituality, and luxury creates a truly unique atmosphere, making it the perfect setting for a wedding that blends tradition with modernity. We stayed at Six Senses Fort Barwara for 2 nights with our two kids and had a largely memorable experience. The Fort Suite was spacious, beautifully done, and came with thoughtful amenities. We appreciated the no-plastic approach, well-curated mini bar, and welcome treats — especially the handcrafted chocolates for kids. Check-in was smooth, but we noticed that some foreign guests received a more elaborate flower shower welcome, which we missed — a bit disappointing. The swimming pool is gorgeous — great for relaxing and photos. The poolside bar has a nice vibe, though food options could be more diverse. The spa was a highlight — the couple’s treatment room was spacious with high ceilings, and the therapists were excellent. For the kids, the ‘Earth Room’ was a fantastic concept — they enjoyed hands-on activities like pottery, candle making, handmade paper, lip balm, and more. A great way to keep children engaged while adults unwind. Dining was decent, and while the kitchen is flexible beyond the printed menu, the restaurant staff seemed undertrained. Special dietary requests (like eggless bakery items) were ignored, and a Margherita pizza came loaded with veggies — explained oddly as their version. That said, housekeeping, room service, and sleep quality were flawless. Overall, a beautiful, thoughtfully designed resort offering a unique blend of heritage and sustainability. With sharper attention to service details, it can truly be world-class.

We visited Six Senses Fort Barwara and stayed at the Aravali suite as a family of three — my wife, our 8-month-old son, and myself — and had an absolutely wonderful stay. The property itself is breathtaking, beautifully blending heritage and luxury, but what truly made our experience special was the warmth of the staff. Everyone was incredibly kid-friendly, thoughtful, and attentive, making us feel completely at ease even while traveling with a baby. It’s a rare place that feels both grand and genuinely welcoming — truly unforgettable!
