Six Senses Fort Barwara is unlike anywhere else we stayed in India. It's not loud, not fast, and not trying to impress. Instead, it welcomes you into something older—a silence held inside stone and sunlight. The architecture is stunning, of course—but it's the energy of the place that stays with you. There is a stillness here that doesn’t need to be explained. It just surrounds you. The staff were attentive, present, and respectful. There was a sense that they weren’t just following protocol, but genuinely tuned into the guest. Several moments felt deeply human—small gestures, warm recognition, a quiet kind of care that goes beyond service. A special word of gratitude for Mrs. Bhawna, our Guest Experience Manager. Her presence was always attentive, yet never imposing. She moved with quiet refinement—soft-spoken, thoughtful, and deeply aware of what was needed without asking. Her calm energy and gentle coordination brought a human warmth into the regal structure of the fort. She did not just manage our experience—she elevated it, gracefully and without effort. The team also took enormous care and effort in understanding and accommodating my food allergies. Every meal was handled with clear communication, thoughtful adjustments, and genuine concern. This kind of attentiveness isn’t common—and we were truly grateful. The walks around the fort, the views from the top, the early mornings—this is not a hotel you stay in, it’s a place that holds you. We both felt grounded here. As if the stone around us was reflecting something steady inside us. Our thanks to the team—for holding space so gracefully. It's a beautiful property with wonderful service. The food is amazing. It tasted so well. Loved every bit of it!! It's built in a old fort with amazing architecture. Definitely would love to go back soon. The hotel service is great. Special mention to Mr Goverdhan at the restaurant!!

We were met by the sweet smile of Sahil who was our GM for the short stay and who had already arranged our spa times and activities for our stay at the six senses Surrounded by tiny streets with the hustle and bustle of an Indian rural village is an old fort that has been magnificently restored and designed and our two nights there were life changing. We highly recommend the gemstone spiritual journey and silver talisman making led by Ivanka - it opens your heart and mind in a way you cannot imagine. Followed by the healing acupuncturist Dr Ashish Dev who used the knowledge passed on by ivanka to heal us of any emotional and physical pain in our bodies . Both were transformational . We started the journey with a mindful session the evening we arrived and followed that by waking up to yoga with a wonderful teacher whose name I sadly forgot to write down but i can still hear her voice in my head slowing me down and letting me let go. Our spa treatments were also amazing and the food was the best we have experienced . We met someone who told us now you have found six senses there is no going back - plan to seek this experience again and again in the farthest corners of the earth. It's a real journey of self discovery.

We had a great stay at Fort Barwara. The location of the hotel is truly unique in the old fort and the team behind it clearly went through an immense effort to turn it into a truly impressive hotel. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed and the staff very helpful and friendly. Probably because most of our experience was really amazing, there are a few small inconsistencies that we noticed throughout our stay when it comes to maintaining the high standards of the hotel, e.g. slight inattention of the restaurant staff, reception promised to come back to us, but didn't. On the other hand, there were several members of the staff that were exceptionally helpful and friendly: - Tanushree, our Guest Experience Manager, did a great job to help us before and during our stay. She was always super friendly, helped us to organise things on site on short notice and helped us to navigate the hotel and facilities - Tapas, who's photography skills are second to none in the hotel (he knows the bet spots around the hotel for couple shoots ;) ) - Ms. Ben (working in the spa / fitness area), who was one of the best massage therapists we have had. ever. Fort Barwara was the perfect location for us to cap our exciting two week India trip off with two super relaxing and enjoyable days!
