Fateh's Retreat, Homestay

The tigers having evaded us the previous times , it was with a dash of determinism that we set off on a trip to Ranthambore . We opted for Fateh Retreat, a home away from home that not only boasts the much-loved Fateh Café, renowned for its cuisine, but also carries with it an incredible legacy. The sanctuary of Ranthambore owes much to the tireless efforts of Fateh Singh Rathore, the pioneer of tiger conservation in India, whose dedication earned him a Lifetime Achievement Award from the World Wildlife Fund. Nestled amidst tranquil surroundings, Fateh Retreat exudes understated charm. Its friendly, attentive staff are overseen by the warm and gracious Jyoti, whose hands-on approach ensured that every moment of our stay was smooth and enjoyable. The ever-bustling Fateh Café was a highlight in itself—serving up delicious fare to not just guests, but also visitors from other hotels and locals alike. The café’s constant hum of activity, combined with its picturesque setting, made it a lively yet cozy place to unwind after safari drives. For those seeking a stay that blends history, heart, and hospitality, Fateh Retreat is truly a gem in Ranthambore’s crown.

Great location on the edge of the national tiger reserve. After a hectic 5 days in Delhi and Agra, Fatehs retreat was a slice of paradise. The host and staff were very friendly. Food was great and bed was very comfy Scenery was amazing, the infinity pool looked over the reserve and mountains. We had a three day stay had we had k is. How lovely it was we would have stayed longer

We loved our 2 night stay and wished we stayed longer. We had a wonderful host and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful with a wonderful view. The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean and the balcony was a lovely place to sit and take in the beautiful view. The food was superb and some of the best we have had whilst in India. Breakfast was delicious as was our evening meals. All very tasty and fresh. Would highly recommend.

Superb resort backing onto Ranthambore National Park. Beautiful garden setting looking toward the mountains. Joyti and her staff are amazing and made our stay perfect. Joyti even organised our tiger tour which we were lucky enough to see tigers and a sloth bear. Highly recommended resort with great restaurant. Only very minor negative was the 2 single beds pushed together to make a queen bed. Did not dampen our peaceful stay. 6 out of 5 stars!

A retreat in the the outskirts of Ranthambore park A quiet and beautiful hotel. Very romantic. Specially with the fireplace during the cold winter nights. The services were excellent. Delicious breakfast lunch and dinner. The staff was friendly polite and helpful. A magical experience
