Borgo Egnazia, where I have stayed 3 times over the last 10 years, is a unique resort in Italy, or for that matter anywhere. It's unique in its range of recreational facilities, its old world design, made new again, the breadth and quality of its restaurants, including its world class seafood beach club, Sala Masciola, and most spectacularly, the level of service. In Italy, you expect it to be friendly, but the warm, local Puglia staff takes it above and beyond, treating you like family. What is also unique about Borgo is its diversity; managing to cater to families, while also having separate top notch facilities for the ultra-discriminating, highend, adult clientele. From its Michelin star restaurant, to its 18 hole golf course, it satisfies the most sophisticated guests taste. Finally, what impressed us that over the 10 years, we have seen consistent, incremental improvement in the hotel's mission of excellence.

Nous avons booké la casa deliziosa et le séjour était parfait. Nous avons aimé cette belle maison et le service d'antonietta qui était excellentissime. Nous avons pu nous reposer et très bien manger et petit déjeuner sans devoir nous soucier de quoi que ce soit. Nous avons invité des amis pour un barbecue dans notre villa, c'était super. La personal assistant Maria Adele était parfaite, hyper réactive, pro, de bon conseil. L'hôtel offre des infrastructures top comme un kids club digne d'une crèche et qui permet de laisse votre enfant même pour la sieste ou le lunch si vous voulez. Il y a énormément de jouets et activités possibles. Il y a plein de piscines dans l'hôtel: intérieures, extérieures chauffées, extérieures froides...spa, yoga, meditation... cours de cuisine ou autre! Plein de vélos et autres moyens de locomotion pour aller de l'hôtel à la plage avec vos enfants. Les restaurants sont très bons, la déco magnifique. Il y a un coiffeur, manucure+ pedicure...vraiment tout. L'hôtel était génial et idéalement situé si vous voulez dîner vers monopoli, poignant ou ostuni

Una splendida esperienza in day spa. Dall’arrivo,l’accoglienza, il garbo e l’eleganza del personale della spa. Poi la competenza e la disponibilità di Letizia che ci ha accompagnato nelle terme romane oltre ad un eccellente trattamento assieme agli altri altrettanti bravi terapisti. Infine le bellissime piscine e l’accogliente bar con i suoi cocktail. Concludiamo con il transfer al beach club per una cena sotto le stelle di altissimo livello. Un plauso convinto e a presto ritornare. Menzione speciale ai dipendenti tutti ed alla top Letizia.

We were very disappointed with our arrival experience at Borgo Egnazia. We arrived around 11:00 AM and were told we would be called when our room was ready. By 4:00 PM, we still hadn’t received any call. We finally went back ourselves to ask, only to be given a room directly above the children’s pool — extremely noisy — and right in front of a service area where cleaning staff and garbage bins constantly pass through. It was loud and absolutely not soundproofed. We asked to change rooms. After waiting a long time again, we were shown a much smaller room where we couldn’t even open our suitcases properly — completely unacceptable for the price we are paying. Then we were offered a slightly bigger room, but it still wasn’t ready… and by then it was already 5:30 PM. The supervisor couldn’t even tell us when it would be available. We had to return to the original room with no clear solution, no compensation offered, and barely an apology. For a hotel of this category and price range, the service was shockingly disorganized. We wasted over two hours just waiting around with no updates, no care, and no sense of urgency. Staff told us they had done their best and there was nothing more they could do — which is not what you expect at a so-called luxury hotel.

We have just returned from a 10 day family holiday to BORGO. Family of 5 with 3 kids aged 8, 5 & 2 and the place is just absolutely incredible. We have travelled to numerous 5 star resorts all over the world and this place is top of our list by quite a distance. From Rosa looking after us so well at breakfast each morning and treating our children like they were her children to Sabina the hotel manager oozing class and professionalism, we had the best family holiday of our lives. I find it hard to believe that there is a better family resort in the world. If you are thinking of going, just go, you will not be disappointed. Already looking forward to returning next year. Special thanks also to our local advisor, Valerio who was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend doing an evening trip to Monopoli & also Alberobello, both stunning.
