I recently spent a week at Waterfall Villas during the rainy season, and it turned out to be one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating vacations I’ve ever had. I was invited by a friend just a few weeks before the trip and hadn’t planned on participating in the juicing or vegan/vegetarian meals. However, after meeting the wonderful owner, Monica, I thought, “Why not?” and I’m so glad I did! The juices were excellent, and the setup made the process easy—even for someone like me, who was coming straight from a diet of daily steaks and no fruit. One of the things that made juicing simple was that there were no tempting meal aromas around, which made it easier to stay committed. The yoga sessions with Maya were held outdoors by the waterfalls and were incredibly relaxing and balancing. Maya was lovely and also gave us the most incredible massages, which we chose to have outside, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature. The villas themselves are spacious and come with balconies overlooking the waterfalls, which you can hear roaring day and night—an absolutely soothing experience. Kenia and Felipe took excellent care of us throughout our stay, ensuring everything was clean and that we had all we needed. I also appreciated the laid-back approach. There was no pressure to juice or do yoga; I was able to decide for myself once I arrived and felt inspired to participate. Plus, it was nice that coffee was available if desired. If you’re looking to unwind, reset, and experience the serene beauty of Costa Rica, I highly recommend Waterfall Villas. It’s the perfect place to regroup and take a break from a hectic lifestyle. I left feeling relaxed, recharged, and so grateful for this wonderful experience.
