3-Star Hotels in Savannakhet

This is a really nice place to stay if you are visiting Savannakhet. It is very 'low-key', located in a quiet neighbourhood and very good value. We stay one night recently. The rooms (there are three) are air conditioned, spacious, very clean and very comfortable. All of them are en-suite. Niko is a very good host. Highly recommended.

We have stayed in the original Avalon Residence and Avalon Residence 2. We have stayed in the original Avalon Residence 2. We have paid 150.000 kip for our room 403. We have been directly on site without booking online and that is what we recommend to do to make substantial savings. The Wi-Fi was low and sometimes could disappear sporadically. All was seriously disrupted at the third morning, while breakfast was served on the terrace of the second floor for a large French bus on a tour. It was only for them that was normal, given that it was in buffet according to our discrete comments. We told us we would order our breakfast in the reception lobby a little later as we did in the previous two mornings. It was 9:00 when we went down and found there was nothing on the courtyard or even coffee. However, breakfast was served up to 10:00. We were told we could still order. We have two cups of very cold coffee, we felt we were a burden without any explanation given the barrier of the language. We legitimately asked for hot coffee and only a cup was brought. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable, and the hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. There was a climate of joke and discomfort that was regained on the ground by the young staff and we did not appreciate it. We also confirm that one or two small sanitary furniture have been subtilely used directly in our luggage. We always take pictures of our luggage before leaving for the day in all our trips. The older and male staff were exemplary cold. We were about 30 minutes walk from the city centre. It is a beautiful modern hotel but without lift when we were there. We wouldn't stay there again. Alternatively, head westward to Mekong River bank, where you can find a number of dining options.

It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom smells a bit like sewage. The shower works, but the drain doesn't drain well. They didn't have a hair dryer, but they found one and brought it to me. Booking a tuk tuk to the airport was also smooth.

This is more of a guesthouse than a grand hotel, but the spacious rooms are comfortable and very clean although a bit basic. The most important feature is its location right on the Mekong riverside, with magical views from its terrace of the sunset over Thailand across the river. It’s handy to “downtown” Savannakhet, right beside a large park. The staff and manager were friendly and helpful. On arrival, our room had a few small electrical issues, but those were resolved immediately by the owner. The restaurant was very good and seems to be a local favourite. The breakfast bagels were a highlight. The pizza was great. We had Deluxe King Room 1A looking out on the river — try to get it if you can.

I haven't been to this resort for a few years,but as I needed to get a visa for Thailand I chose to stay here again,even after reading a few negative reviews. Was pleasantly surprised with the room I received,$AU28.50 including breakfast.Fast WiFi throughout the resort and good quality meals,not expensive at all. Note that the resort is undergoing renovations,so there isn't much in the way of gaming if that's your thing,and there is only one dining room which is open all day,plus 24 hour room service. Now a lot of the staff don't speak or understand English,just understand that Laos is a developing 3rd world country,and they will always try to find other staff who can speak English.Be patient. All in all a nice relaxing stay!

New hotel, very beautiful and clean, good service staff Good location in the city, comfortable sleep, complete facilities. Have a chance to come back and stay again for sure. And will recommend others to stay as well
