Kimpton Brice Hotel

A really funky hotel with fantastic ammenities, superb location and amazing vibe.

All staff really nice they care about your stay perception of the hotel. Spacious king suite. Valet parking gets cars quickly even with the hotel fully booked.

Having stayed at the Bruce Kimpton 9 months ago with a friend, and found it was quite nice, I chose it once again for my husband and I. The Brice is in a perfect location to walk the river or explore the squares. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful at checkin, and our king room had been upgraded to a 2 room suite…a nice surprise. We checked into our “suite” after taking an elevator that had water pouring from the ceiling and a soaked floor. After trying to contact guest services to report the elevator for 30 minutes without an answer, I gave up and decided to report it later when we went to the bar for a cocktail before going to dinner…. (Skip the bar, we had the smallest, most expensive martini we’ve ever had) Our suite was very large, scantily decorated with a few “yard sale” pieces, had no light switches in either room ( you had to go to the lamps to switch them on and off), and the bathroom door did not close, but the king bed was very comfortable. The most horrific situation was the noise and vibration from above, below, and next to our room all night. I once against attempted to contact guest services without success, but did use a text option to explain the situation. They did send someone up. After a brief discussion with my husband, he left, but the noise continued. The vibration even made the door knobs rattle! -I tried the best I could to get some rest with a pillow over my head- my husband slept with ear plugs. The next morning, weary-eyed we headed down for breakfast about 8:00. There was only one couple in the dining room and no server or hostess to be seen. After waiting at the entrance for a good 5 minutes without acknowledgment, we opted to grab coffee in the lobby and checkout instead. Kimpton has always a been reliable go-to brand for us. Their hospitality, wine hour in the lobby, and pleasant atmosphere, has landed us on in many. The Brice does not belong on the Kimpton list though of hotels. Beware!!
