The hotel in the old house, don't love the decoration style too much. I like its restaurant and reception area the most. The Earl of Chatham Suite we booked is also super stylish. The Chinese vases and Chinese paintings in it please Chinese guests like us. You have to climb the second floor with your suitcase. Although there is no meal included, the hostess still provided us with a simple and nutritious breakfast, and the handsome waiter has a super nice attitude. The feeling of a five-star hotel is that the cleanliness is still worse than that of a star hotel in terms of norms and standards. There are stains on the bed sheets, and the skin itches when you sleep. Booked a city sightseeing bus, and the hotel called a shuttle bus to send it to the departure station. Next to it is St. John's Church, architectural aesthetics + painted art, beautiful.

Amazing and accommodating- the Hamilton Turner is a picturesque boutique hotel. The home built in the 1800s has kept the charm that makes your stay memorable. The staff: Erin, Katherine, Tim, Eva and the chef, help with tips and tricks to navigate the city whether your first time or your hundredth time visiting. Do not miss the breakfast, as it will fill you up for all the adventures that await. The appetizers and wine in the evening offer a snack to get you through getting ready for your evening plans. enjoy and make plans to come back!

As the inn was almost sold out, we were only able to reserve the last (and smallest) room, the Isaiah Davenport room. We weren't expecting much but were so pleasantly surprised! In the basement, the room was very small and had no closet but was beautiful and had a spacious modern bathroom. My only suggestion would be for them to include hangers on the rack provided in the bathroom. The private entrance to the street was very convenient. Be prepared though as this room is quite noisy both from street traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian as well as the noise from the creaky floors above. It worked out well for us. The rest of the inn was beautiful and the service was wonderful. A delicious breakfast each morning as well as evening happy hour and treats and the use of the bikes were all nice touches.

This was our first visit. We love the architecture, the Savannah vice, wonderful staff with a warm welcome from Erin and Catherine, food and beverages throughout our stay. The location is great and very central near a large plaza. We enjoyed the wine reception upon arrival. We had warm chocolate chip cookies and port after we’d walked back from dinner at the Bistro 45 bar. The garden in the back is tranquil and lovely.

6 years ago we stayed here and had a wonderful stay. This time a very different experience. The location is excellent and that’s where it stops. The property is very tired and in need of refurbishment. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, including stained chairs. The cocktail hour which was a highlight on our previous visit was really disappointing. Serving poor wine and hors d’oeuvres, which we gave a miss on our second night. Breakfast was very poor. No choice, offering only a hot southern breakfast, which isn’t to our taste. No continental offered. Coffee poor. The hospitality was lacking, no management to be seen. However, I will mention Nathan who works the evenings who gave us some good recommendations. We choose luxury B&B’s for their personal hospitality and attention to detail but were extremely disappointed that none was in evidence here. Although the website offers complementary cycles at the property, they were non available. We will not return.

Having never visited Savannah before we were excited to make the trip to this historic place. The hotel was in a perfect location for strolling around but at $600 per night I guess the location was most of what we were paying for. The photos on the website and Tripadvisor are, how shall we say, 'extremely flattering' and this place is super tired on the presentation front and fusty and grubby. We found the staff very friendly and helpful but so many of these hotels are understandably following the B&B model by not offering food other than breakfast which was limited. Bacon on morning one - which was excellent - but non available on morning 2...?!....so in summary, if location is the key and you don't particularly value cleanliness then this is worth considering.....would I say shabby-chic...?....a bit of a stretch to add the chic maybe....
