Had the most amazing stay at Hotel Bardo! We did the cooking school with Chef Matta and it was honestly one of the best experiences ever—fun, hands-on, and absolutely delicious. We walked everywhere from the hotel—such a quick stroll to everything in Savannah, and it made the perfect base camp for exploring. The design, the vibe, even the smell of this place—just extraordinary. When we weren’t out and about, we were lounging by the pool with drinks and bites from Bar Bibi (highly recommend the Mediterranean plates—so fresh and flavorful). We capped off our trip with dinner at Saint Bibiana (elegant, layered dishes full of depth) and a nightcap in Club Bardo to wind it all down. Pure magic. Will 100% be back.

It was our second time staying at hotel, Bardo, this time for my wife’s birthday. Once again, a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I love the emails in anticipation of the visit with possible upgrades, which we took advantage of, especially getting a three hour block of cabana time by the pool. This is worth every penny as the pool area is very crowded. Our cabana time included a cooler of Italian sodas, Waters fresh fruit, and you can also order from the attentive servers. We also took advantage of a room upgrade for the first floor near the pool as well. The staff is very accommodating and helpful to coordinate all the activities on the property. The bar is exceptional, one of the best hotel bars in the country with the aperitivo bites and generous cocktail servings. They even got us some hot tea to take to the room, which was not on the room service menu, but should be! We did actually have some difficulty with our upgraded room on the first floor, however. The air conditioning control was stuck behind a armoire, and the only vent was in the doorway, so it was difficult to control the temperature in the room. That armoire should be switched With the Hall tree that was next to the window to make it easier to access the air conditioning control. Also, for a first floor suite there was not nearly enough seating. There was only one armchair as the only seating in the entire room. It’s a very comfortable chair, but there should’ve been at least two and a small bench by the bed. We had no room to put any of our things for an upgraded suite. Our experience in the cabana at the pool was wonderful, but when we had to fend for ourselves, it was a little sparse. It was difficult to get chairs, and there were several items on the menu that they were out of, ones that we had ordered, and also ones we heard other people try to order. Supply issues are difficult right now, so maybe the managing of expectations would help. To sum up, a great stay that focused on the pool area as our theme, but lacking in the luxuries of the upper floor rooms like a second chair or small couch. The tea in the hotel is superior, so it should be on the room service menu and available for guests in the lobby at any time. It’s very good.

When we learned a long time friend was moving to Savannah, we knew immediately we wanted to come visit. Hotel Bardo came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we knew we made the right choice. The front desk reception was helpful and accommodating. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, we had everything we needed. The pool is its own oasis, and the courtyard was the perfect setting for an early morning coffee and pastry. Hotel staff gave terrific restaurant and activity recommendations, even using the House Car to shuttle us short distances around the downtown area. During our visit there was also a farmer’s market in Forsyth Park, directly across the street. We will definitely return to Hotel Bardo in the future!

We had the perfect girls weekend at Hotel Bardo. High end accommodations, decor and service throughout our stay, at the pool cabana, and restaurants. Franklin, the house car driver, was the most professional and super accommodating on our requests for close-by travel. Keith, the doorman, was so welcoming and helpful with luggage. And Josh was on top of our luggage at departure. I look forward to coming back with family and will definitely recommend to others!

I have been coming to Savannah twice a year for a long time and typically stayed at another “comparable” hotel. Well, the other hotel oversold and I had to scramble to find a room. I was lucky to find a room at the Bardo, and the two hotels are NOT EVEN CLOSE. The Bardo is warm and inviting, with loads of staff ready to help upon arrival. The other place I stayed? Chaotic and run down (broken AC in many rooms being the reason they didn’t have a room even though I had a reservation). My room at the Bardo has a beautiful view of the park. And it’s a much larger room! The property is beautifully detailed, the food and beverage program is superb, and I’m SO GLAD I have a new place to frequent! Special shout out to Yoni at the inside bar and the entire staff at Club Bardo. These folks know a thing or two about hospitality!!!
