This accomodation ticked all the boxes for us. It was on a quiet waterfront with everything in place to assure relaxation in a stunning area of Aruba. There were only about 6 or 7 rooms to book and when we were their, there was various changes in the people staying there. We stayed for 10 days and would happily have stayed longer. The rooms are fairly basic but very clean and really comfortable. We had a sea view from in and out of the room and also had a large balcony area. The shared kitchen was extremely well supplied if making your own meals is what you want to do. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, including Flying Fishbone next door where we enjoyed three meals there which were presented beautifully and tasted excellent. Also nearby of particular interest is Zeerovers which is a must for a different dining experience. The small but delightful surroundings at the apartments provide various areas to relax and spend time. One can easily access the sea where there is enough to see if you like snorkelling. There are many nearby beaches, mangroves etc to visit easily with a car from the apartments. The view from the deck supplied endless stunning vistas and wildlife to watch. Also for those who need wifi it worked well during our stay and also the air conditioning was very good. We would love to return one day and make more lovely memories here.

We're just back from a week in Aruba and stayed at Coral Reef and it was great! We traveled with our son (13) and our friends. We prefer to vacation away from the resort fray so chose Sanvaneta area. You definitely will want a car (but I think unless you plan to stay right in the area of your lodging/resort for your whole trip, everyone needs a car) to explore the island but there are a couple of small grocery stores within walking distance. We had a large two bedroom room with a kitchenette and it was perfect for us though the well-stocked community kitchen is a great option if you prefer a smaller room. They had kayaks and all sorts of beach/water toys to borrow as well as coolers for our scuba excursion days which was so helpful. It was easy to get in and out of the water at the little beach and dock area, which were wonderful for hanging out and meeting/chatting with other guests and there were tables in the courtyard for outdoor dinners the nights we carried in and/or cooked. The "no hot water" thing was not a thing at all...yes it's a bit cool at first but refreshing and not an issue for any of us. The only thing that caught us off-guard was that the restaurant is not just next door but literally shares the property so the evenings are not quiet. It's a very nice establishment but very busy all the time so a bit of a bummer that from 4-10:30PM every night you can't get away from the clubby-lounge music (though it's not overly loud) and people-noise. There are restaurant tables sharing the same small dock five feet from where we'd hoped to enjoy a peaceful sunset, which is sort of why we chose a smaller inn instead of a larger resort or hotel. However, we did not hear the restaurant at all from our room so sleeping was not an issue and by the third or fourth night we got used to the situation but just was not what we expected. Overall we had a wonderful experience...our hosts Erik and Jenny were responsive and communicative before our trip and Graciela and the team took great care of us (and our room tidy) while we were there.

I just got back from a quick trip, I flew in on a Wednesday and left Saturday. My husband wanted to stay near the water. When I say near the water he wanted to walk out and bam there is the water. He did not want the hotel, the air-bnb, the VRBO, the all inclusive resort to be across the street from the beach. Since it was a quick trip and we do not eat or drink a lot an all inclusive was out of the picture. This place got meh, review on Google and trip advisor but I couldn't find much on FB. This place meet the requirement of what my husband wanted and we were renting a car. I decided to book it. I got to say this place is was good. The only downside was that they didn't have hot water. They told me in advance that they had lukewarm water. Their definition of lukewarm verses mine is totally different. At home I like to take lukewarm water but their shower had no hint of warmth but it wasn't icy cold. My husband knew in advance and he dealt with it since we were only there for a short time he like take steaming hot shower. Each unit is different and is cater to what you are looking for. I got the two bedroom suite cause I wanted a kitchenette and I didn't want to share a bathroom. This place was clean and the owner lives downstairs, a housekeeper comes everyday to tidy up. Next door they own the Flying Fishbone, which is instagram and Tik Tok famous. Guest at the Coral Reef can get 10% off their stay. We took advantage of that. All in all the place was really nice but husband said he was one and done with Aruba but I can't wait to go back and show my cousin the island. Some people complain about the loud music I did not experience that at all I am light sleeper. The place had really good A/C and the bed was nice and firm. They offer use of the Kayak where you can kayak to glass island that how close it was. Their wifi was ok.

Another outstanding vacation! We are not resort or big crowd people, so enjoy staying down in Savaneta. Changed up rooms this time because we were sans kids. Common kitchen well stocked, easy to use, and at the bottom of the stairs from our room (have to have the balcony for the views!) Already looking forward to next year!

A Hidden Gem! We spent a week at the great little resort , right next to The Flying Fishbone in Savaneta. The rooms are clean , simply decorated ,and have a minimum of a mini fridge and coffee/ tea maker , to a complete kitchenette in each room. It’s located on an amazingly gorgeous beachfront , across from Sea Glass island. You can spend your day there swimming, snorkeling, or just lounging in the sun! If you’re like me, there are also plenty of shaded spots.. The staff working there keep the place spotless and well cared for. Grasiala is like a sweet auntie you have gone to visit , and makes you feel so welcomed! Available to borrow at no charge are kayaks, life jackets, floats, and snorkel equipment.( some a bit older) Outside there are also hammocks, a gas grill and protected dining areas. There is even a bookshelf filled with books in English, Dutch, and Spanish. PS: Make sure to sit next to the water, at the end of the day to watch the stunning sunsets!

This is our first Aruba trip that we didn’t stay in the Palm Beach/Eagle Beach area. Located in the small community of Savaneta, Coral Reef Apts are on the water and beside the Flying Fishbone Restaurant - one of Aruba’s finest (also run by the owner/manager of Coral Reef). We had a beautiful, full wall of windows view of the water, palm trees and sunsets. It is very comfortable for us. The staff (Eric and Jenny) were fabulous. Always there if you need them but never obtrusive. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. No hot water, but if you’re familiar with Aruba, you don’t need hot water for showers. This is upsetting to some, but it really is not a problem for us and we showered every day. There are kayaks, snorkel equipment and other toys for borrowing. A decent shared library and just a wonderful, relaxing environment. We’re already booked for this December and can’t think of a single reason for this not to be our regular lodging.

Loved this place. The rooms could use a bit of an update for sure, but that contributes to the charm. The place was spotless, and the courtyard/dock/little beach area was a little oasis. You could easily spend a lazy day here alternating between catching the sun, sitting in the shade, taking a swim etc. The shared dining facilities sounds a bit odd, but the kitchen is very well-equipped and it all seemed to work well for everybody.

We booked this reading the reviews, No one talks about room 10, its a death trap. I fell a few times in the bathroom, it is uneven and plan to stub your toe and trip in the middle of the night. the steps are slippery and a fall could break you neck. the main floor the tiles are coming off. the beach is really nothing but rocks. the shower is cold, I took one shower for the week, it's just to cold. We love Aruba but not the laid back apartments. next time we will get an air bnb like last year, If your a book worm and don't care about looks, go for it, I won't be back, good luck if you go.
