We have just come back from a week in Sauze and stayed at the Gran Baita. It is a quiet hotel just out the way from the main square (and noise!) but only a few minutes walk - perfect for getting a good nights sleep. Shower was always warm and the bathroom was a good size. We didn't take advantage of the dinner as we ate out every night with our group however, the menu looked good and breakfast was great for us each day. The walk from the tourist drop off point to the hotel is not too bad and I would definitely recommend paying for the shuttle bus pass if going to Sportinia lift. We walked on the first day and learned our lesson! First time in Sauze - will definitely go back in the future and would be sure to book the Gran Baita again.

The hotel and staff were excellent and gave a wonderful service during our trip - it may not be the newest of hotels but that is more than made up for in the cleanliness and the great service. For a weeks skiing it became our 'home from home' and the catering team should be applauded for the quality of their food. The rooms kept spotless.

Fantastic family run hotel with a real family feel. The rooms were spacious, exceptionally clean, with a large bathroom. Staff were friendly, hard working and very personable. We celebrated a birthday whilst away and the staff made a special effort. Food was fresh, plentiful with a lot of choice. The town has a great feel with about a 10 minute walk to the piste. Plenty of bars and cafes to cater for all tastes. Would highly recommend

This hotel is ideally situated to the town of Sauze and the Clotes lift (10 min walk). Amazing feel to the hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Half board food was superb with plenty of choice and without repetition (evening meal). Staff were awesome and couldn’t do enough for us. Rooms are big with large balcony and hot tub style bath. Rooms have euro and English plug/power sockets. Highly recommended.

Very well run hotel with friendly owners and staff , nothing is too much trouble for them, we celebrated my daughters birthday during our stay and they made a real fuss of her. The food was plentiful and varied, the bar was a great place to relax. Thanks for a great base for our ski holiday.

A wonderful little hotel, it has a great feel to it. Staff are friendly and make you feel more than a room number. Food is varied, plentiful and well presented, far better than the pile it high buffets I’ve had in some 4 & 5 star hotels in recent years. Location a couple of minutes walk from the main square is just right, you can catch the shuttle bus (10 Euros for the week) to the slopes from the square. Rooms are simply decorated but clean and serviced daily, plenty of hot water and okay shower water pressure. We stayed in 504 which as a family suite gave us a separate room for our teenage son. Memory foam mattresses took some getting used to. Overall delivers way above its 3 star classification.

Excellent ‘Ski’ hotel. Staff, food and ambience. Just returned from Xmas at the Gran Baita. Really enjoyable week. Family run by great people. Lovely food (wonderful salad bar) Clean rooms, warm friendly. Real fire😊. Can’t recommend too highly.

Points positifs : Accueil, disponibilité et amabilité du personnel et des responsables - qui nous ont changé de chambre après avoir signalé une odeur qui nous gênait dans la première.
Petit-déjeuner diversifié, du choix entre sucré et salé... Attention toutefois à l'eau chaude qui ne l'était pas.
Un seul dîner pris sur place qui fût excellent.
Points négatifs : Les portes d'entrées des chambres claquent et font trembler les autres.
Produits de toilette en sachets individuels/personne (shampoing + gel douche + savonnette) renouvelé 1 fois, pour un séjour de 5 jours.
Peu de place de parking dans la rue privée (5€/nuit à régler à l'hôtel) alors qu'il y a un grand parking gratuit et couvert près de l'Office du tourisme.
Autres : Centre ville très agréable, rues pavées, belles maisons en pierres et toits de lauze.
Randonnées autour de Sauze d'Oulx vraiment bien, malgré les départs d'itinéraires assez longs faits sur routes plutôt dangereuses.
