Comfort Inn

The hot tub and jacuzzi were not working the entire time we were at the location and we were given the option to find another hotel but since we came in at 10:00 at night that really wasn't something that we wanted to do. Breakfast was not very good, sausages were barely cooked and not crispy, eggs were less than tasty. People were standing outside the hotel smoking ********* and they were also some smoking inside the hotel. We were charged nightly for a safe that we didn't even know was in the room, we were told they only needed my card on file for incidentals such as damage to the room and it ended up being used to pay a nightly fee for a safe. Rooms are very outdated and beds were not comfortable. I would not recommend this location. Not sure how it got the high star rating that I saw online, had I known all of this I would have not booked our stay at this hotel.

There were four of us for a conference in the Soo. There was a mix up at the Kewadin where the four of us were to stay while at the Convention. We had to have our finance officer call around and find us 2 rooms for 3 nights. It was suggested, by Kewadin, to us the overflow hotel of Comfort Inn. Reservations were made for 2 rooms, 3 nights. The total cost for 1 room for 3 nights was $715.00, this was for a Thursday check in and a Sunday check out totaling $1430.00 for four people for 3 nights. OMG what a rip-off. Maid service was terrible. I had to call and have clean towels delivered to the room plus have our trash removed. No other in room amenities were ever refilled. Our other room had water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom and had similar maid issues. Never again will I stay here while on business or otherwise.

Got to hotel and checked in with no problem. Went out and came back and trouble began with door lock not working. So they said they would switch us to another room. The room they tried to give us was a double queen ( not a king that we had). The room SMELLED like must and mildew and i couldn't spend five minutes that room because of my asthma. They then switched us to another room . Right next to the pool ( which wouldn't have been bad ) but there was one group of people who were i the pool from around noon u til the pool closed that day. They were loud (screaming and yelling) and playing loud music all day long. And when we asked about some kind of compensation they said they could only give us some reward points because we had booked thru Expedis.! Now come on ! Doesn't the hotel have some say as to what goes on at their hotel? Not sure i will ever use Expdia or Comfort Inn again. What good does it do to use a web site like ******* when something happens nothing is done!

Old, outdated property. Room smelled of stale smoke.

It is fairly clean, the room did have a damp smell to it which went away after we open the window. All in all ok for the price and lack of choices in the area.
