The staff was SO friendly and helpful! (especially Adam) Their recommendations were spot on. It will be our choice for our next trip to the UP. We were especially grateful that they were able to accommodate our request for an early check-in.

Great place to stay ,friendly staff , great breakfast. The location is good just off the highway and easy to get to all attractions. Two major stores within two miles for any forgotten items. This was our second 4 night stay and will be back next year !

Bed was really hard and uncomfortable. It squeaked and made a lot of noise getting in and out. Pillows were great, Breakfast was wonderful and had many options. Adam at the front desk was very helpful in offering suggestions and directions.

This facility is very old and worn out. Room had a very musty smell, toilet did not work properly, breakfast food ran out 1.5 hours before closing of breakfast bar. Would not return, would not recommend. Staff were pleasant, no complaints about any employees, just an old, run down facility.

On September 19th 2024 I booked a room using ******* for what I thought was Sault Saint Marie Ontario. Once booking was complete it showed InThe USA! I called immediately to cancel. Hotel refused to cancel as I used third party. ******* refused refund as they said hotel refused to agree with the cancellation. All in all , I lost out on $240 Canadian and never stayed in the hotel!!!! Stayed at a different hotel that night in Ontario and was advised that 4 other couples had the exact same experience. We stayed at this hotel for four nights. The room conditions were so bad that we thought of cutting our trip short. The room had a terrible musty old smell in the carpet/curtains and the bedding was constantly damp. It was disgusting to walk on the carpet and sleep in the bed. I made the front desk aware of the issue and they couldn't assist because they didn't have any other rooms for us to stay. They acknowledged the odor and dampness in the room which told me this was a common issue. We stayed in room 1106 on the first floor. Water stains on the carpet. The counter i. The bathroom had a burn mark on it. Cob webs in the corners. The wallpaper was damaged in many places in the room. The glass in the window was cracked, but the larger problem was the odor and effects it had on my wife and me with our allergies and asthma. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

Pros: wonderful breakfast. Head housekeeper Dominic. Clean. Cons: Not only dated but very worn and battered furniture and wall coverings.Very poor check in experience. Noisy unit outside of accessible room. As with so many places they seem very short-staffed.

Did not have a reservation but the hotel front desk personnel very pleasant and helpful. Room was spacious and very clean. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was effective but LOUD. Towels were soft and absorbent. Excellent breakfast. Appreciated having items labeled.

We stayed at the BW in SSM Michigan for 2 nights in August. The bed was comfortable but the room felt dirty. I don’t mean dirty in that the floor wasn’t vacuumed or there were dust/dirt on the furniture. I mean that when I walked on the carpet in my bare feet the carpet felt old and dirty. The tub/shower combination looked old and dirty. The shower head looked like it had layers of grime on it. The tub looked dirty. The breakfast was good. Nice selection of hot and cold foods. The location of this hotel is excellent. It is close to shopping and restaurants but I think this place needs to be updated.
