Plaza Motor Motel

The room is small, yet so well appointed it is very welcoming and relaxing. The staff is beyond friendly. I am a shower connoisseur, I love a long relaxing pulsating shower. I believe I have found the best shower. Multiple settings with great pressure. If you want to spend more money for more space you will not use it please go somewhere else so I can spend so little for a great night's sleep.

The Plaza Motor Motel is truly a hidden gem. We stayed two nights in late September, and it was a nice start to our UP vacation. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good, which are the most important things to us. But the rest of the room was equally nice, and there wasn't any noise issues. The only quibble was that there was just the lock on the doorknob, no additional bar lock or anything. But it was a great stay, I just wish the weather had been better so we could have enjoyed the garden more!

We had a great stay at this motel. It was right off the highway but you wouldn't know it. It's quiet and very peaceful. Its not right next to the locks but we found it fairly easy to get into Sault Ste Marie from here. We were very impressed with the room we had reserved. It was right across from the main building. It even had its own reserved parking space.( great for when your getting back to you room later in the evening) Our room was very clean with comfortable bed, clean tiled bathroom, TV, fridge and a coffee maker.  The grounds were lovely with gardens everywhere. I also felt that the price charged for this room was very reasonable. The owner was pleasant and very helpful with some great advice. Just look at the reviews on trip advisor, that says it all. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area and we would highly recommend it to everyone,

The owners and staff are very wonderful people and the rooms decor, cleanliness and quiet location were much appreciated as slept very well. I felt at home staying there and it is the cleanest motel or hotel property I have ever stayed at and I have stayed at 4 star resorts in MI and elsewhere in the continental U.S. The big chains dp not care if your happy and satisfied no noise due to motel location far enough from shopping areas of I-75 Business Spur but close to everything else.

Super clean hotel with a lot of personal touches and beautiful grounds with flowers, water fixture and gazebos with rocking chairs and lounge chairs. Very peacfull. The owners obviously take pride in mantaining the place. Will stay again!

One of the best stays I have had. Good location. Very clean and fresh linens daily (which is rare now.) We had a king room and it had everything we needed. The hair dryer worked. The tub was non-slip and the water was hot enough. I like having the sink outside of the toilet area. The chairs in the room were comfortable and the room was well-lit. Check-in and out was easy. The desk was useful. We did not use the microwave or refrigerator, although I noted the refrigerator was nicer than most. The wi-fi worked well. I loved sitting in the gazebo in the lounge chairs in the evening in the light rain. I did not get wet. The price was very, very reasonable. The flowers were lovely. You can tell this place is well-loved. A real find, although you should be aware it is an older place and that the room doors open to the outside.
