We found everything we had hoped for in our Christmas getaway at Castaway Resort on Koh Lipe. Beautiful garden setting only steps from the beach. Amazing snorkelling right in front of the resort (but don't miss diving with Castaway Divers too). A lovely, attentive team takes great care of the resort and guests, we loved hanging out at the restaurant overlooking Sunrise Beach for hours on end. Castaway Resort quickly turned into our tropical home away from home for our 10 day stay. Super family friendly und unhurried atmosphere, even during their Christmas peak. We hope to be back! (We booked our stay+scuba diving directly via email and their fabulous reservations team handled everything perfectly, including our minivan/boat transfers).

The overall price of the island is expensive, not the peak season, 208 yuan a night can understand, but many basic details are not done well, I feel that the boss is more tricky. First, the bathroom is not even attached to a hook. When the bath is taken, there is no place for the towel. Second, the bedroom doesn't even have a trash can. Every time you throw garbage, you have to go to the toilet to throw it. The toilet has more humid mosquitoes, which is very inconvenient. Third, the entire inn didn't even have a hair dryer. The reason was that the weather was hot and the hair was dry or fanned. Fourth, the room does not provide any covered bedding. The temperature on the island in the middle of the night is 22~23 degrees. It is easy to catch a cold when lying down and sleeping. The front desk also said that there is no reason. The reason is that the weather is not hot. Ok, I lived on the island and provided a blanket hair dryer. All of these things have reasons for not providing them, but if you are not satisfied with it, it’s not that you have the final say, those things that cost a few dollars for tens of dollars.
