La chambre est cosy, parfaifement équipée, mais un peu vieillotte. Le cadre est très agréable. En revanche, le petit déjeuner était vraiment décevant. Il y avait peu de choix, ce qui, au vu du standing de l'endroit, était une mauvaise surprise. Les produits étaient en revanche de très bonne qualité.

Man hat uns angeblich ein "Upgrade" gegeben. Das Zimmer war aber so schlimm, dass wir ein anderes wollten, was nicht möglich war, da das Hotel ausgebucht war. Das Schlafzimmer war eine Etage höher als das Badezimmer. Musste man nachts ins Bad, konnte man froh sein, heil über die sehr steile, gefährliche Treppe zu kommen ohne den Kopf nicht mindestens 2x an einen Balken zu donnern. Das ganze Zimmer war furchtbar eingerichtet und auch das Badezimmer war entsetzlich. Warmes Wasser hatten wir auch nach 15 Minuten noch nicht und mussten deshalb kalt Duschen. An der Reception wurde uns dann später gesagt, dass man das Wasser mindestens 10 Minuten laufen lassen muss bis es warm wird. Meine Frau und ich hatten hintereinander geduscht und es war nach 10 Minuten immer noch eiskalt. Zudem wurde uns beim Check-out mitgeteilt, man werde prüfen, weshalb wir diese Info nicht schon beim Check-in erhalten hätten und man würde uns nachträglich noch eine Freude bereiten, um das schlechte Erlebnis zumindest ein bisschen kompensieren zu können. Nachdem ich nichts mehr gehört habe, schrieb ich eine Mail und bekam die lapidare Antwort, dass beim Check-in vergessen wurde, uns zu informieren. Damit war die Angelegenheit für das Hotel erledigt......... So ausgezeichnet das Essen war, so miserabel war unser nächtlicher Aufenthalt.

Worst "reais & chateaux" possible
The hotel has a "Relais & Chateaux" label and is meant to be a wine hotel. Well... It's NOT a winery, and it's not a R&C like hotel. There's no pool, no spa, not even a good chair or place to sit to have a view to the garden and river. The building is very beautiful and has a lot of flowers but that's all. The service at the reception is poor, nobody is caring if you arrived at the hotel, there was no welcoming when checking in.. They were almost acting like doing a favor. The bedroom is old, the mattress is hard and not confortable. The shower has no pressure and not good drainage. The restaurant is Michelin starred but is only a OK dinner, not worthing the price. At the check out they tried to charge me for the stay, but it was PREPAID. After some time and phone calls from the receptionist they found out that it was prepaid. An unnecessary stress. I wouldn't stay again even if it was for free.

Excellent experience!!!
It was wonderful!!! The room was amazing!!! The entire staff was extremely nice and helpful, they went above and beyond for us!!! The food was exquisite!!! Meeting the owner/chef was the highlight of our stay!!!

Lovely setting- flower gardens, beautiful setting for relaxation- overlooking their vineyard with an an incredibly warm, amazing and world renowned chef and expert staff. Yet the place was very down to earth.
