One of the nicest looking Hampton Inns, as far as the public areas, I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at many over the last forty plus years. A great location as far as being within walking distance to everything downtown. The hotel parking garage has nicely sized aisles and parking spaces. Staff was friendly and helpful. Second floor balcony room was subject to a lot of street noise, and we experienced emergency vehicle sirens a couple of times late at night / early in the morning. The breakfast area is spacious, attractive, and well-bussed. Food is average. Strangely for upstate NY, they had hot, cooked grits but only packaged instant oatmeal. We only stayed the one night using my Hilton Honors points, so we didn't use the gym or the nice looking indoor pool. The room was clean, spacious and well furnished. Nice bathroom too. My only complaint about the room is that there were no Kleenex. If we were to stay here again, we would request a room not facing the busy street.
