Homewood Suites by Hilton Saratoga Springs

We had a great stay here—conveniently located to the racetrack, which we ended up walking to. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the facility and rooms were immaculate! Someone was always cleaning. And the breakfast was incredible—we expected the typical continental, but there was a great fruit salad, hot and cold items that were available and fresh (chia pudding, overnight oats, eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, breakfast burritos). We are already planning to return for next year's race season!

I made reservations on line for one night the Track was closed so the price was less so I thought. I reserved a king bed, nonsmoking with a balcony for $285.00. We arrived early but were able to check in which was a nice surprise. We get to the room and noticed it had a funny smell. I check the balcony and there was cigarette butts and dirt all over (see pictures) Also I could practically see into the next door room! The bed was not a King size bed, the pillows and bedding had a disgusting odor like the had not been laundered. If that wasn’t bad enough I get a charge on my card for $441.85. I went to the front desk and asked why I was charged almost double. The manager told me I received an email confirming the price but when I checked my phone they was nothing. I told her about the condition of the room and asked if I could just cancel but I was told I would be charged anyway. She offered a $50.00 credit for the balcony the I could not use but never offered to move us to a cleaner Non Smoking room which I thought we were getting. It was so disgusting the pillows smelled of past hotel guest along with the bedding. I have never been so skeeved out and disappointed but the lack of respect not to mention not even offering to move us! Oh and because it’s pet friendly be prepared to listen to dogs barking at all hours of the night 😩

One night stay but wish it was longer. Friendly staff, Awesome breakfast. Room 407 facing the Treehouse brewery. Studio Suite. Good size room. They have a laundry room and pool but I did not use them. They have open area in the back with a fire pit. Minutes from I-87.
