Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mobile/Saraland

We rented several rooms on our way to family vacation. The complimentary breakfast wasn't ready until almost 9 a.m. as we were trying to get back on the road. Several rooms had no soap or shampoo and when notified, hotel staff refused to bring any to the room. Dont pay the extra to stay here when there are plenty of less expensive options in the immediate area. Just not worth the extra $100 per night for subpar service.

Room 326 blood or Red stain on comforter. Hair in bathtub . Soak liquid all along kitchenette sink . Shampoo bottle empty . The room was not cleaned . I advised the manager on 12-25-23 and her response was never apologize, only she says we wil be ok and that was it . I’m like okay . The Holiday inn express are my favorite hotel. I’m just disappointed at the Saraland Location . 12-25-23

We had an excellent stay. Management was very attentive and each day the staff greeted us or said good night. The breakfast goes fast but was satisfying. The pool area was good and fun. We also used the exercise room and it was clean. Thank you!

Holiday Inn Express Saraland never disappoints. We recently reserved 5 rooms for a graduation event. The gathering area had plenty of room to play dominos and cards. We enjoyed the pool and exercise facilities. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are fluffy.

I stayed here for TWO WEEKS in April of 2022 from recommendations on TripAdvisor™. Our company purchased a nearby refinery and this seemed an ideal location, close to restaurants, close to the refinery, and relatively close to our business office in downtown Mobile. I enjoyed the stay. Was treated very well and Miss Morgan at the desk was very friendly and helpful with acclimating me to the area. I even went out of my way to argue with our C-levels that they should designate this our preferred hotel in the area for out of state travelers. I knew I would be in the area frequently so I booked my next stay in May at that hotel. Again, everything was fine. Hot breakfast, two "social nights" each week...very enjoyable. THEN things changed.....when I went down in August of 2022, everything about the experience was different. NONE of the same staff seemed to be employed there (with the exception of the General Manager whom I met at a previous stay). The hotel didn't seem as clean as prior visits and the drop in hospitality level sure did not make the stay enjoyable. The new people were not friendly. Most of the support staff seemed to loiter in the lobby chatting it up and talking to the desk staff. I don't mind this, but when it interferes with communicating with the desk staff it becomes irritating. Also, I had booked a suite that should have had two TVs and there was only one TV and an empty bracket where the other used to be. The front desk didn't really care about that either. Upon my return to home, I wrote an email to the management staff at the location (not the corporate office). It was never answered. They didn't really seem to care about my experience. I will be staying in the Mobile area 50-70 nights/year and I have moved to a competitive hotel chain (not just a different IHG property in the area) because of the lack of concern from this establishment. Our company now spends a total of 400+ nights/year with a different hotel and I no longer argue with the execs about things because we are treated very well at their competitors.

Made reservations for this hotel at least 1 month ahead of time. Was emailed several times saying my room was ready and I could register remotely. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that they were overbooked and no rooms were available? Thank goodness we were able to locate another hotel. We called customer service for holiday inn and were told to call the hotel the next day and we would be offered a free night's stay. Called the GM the next day and she acted like she didn't know anything about it. She said the best she could do was offer a 10% discount? We were not the only one's who were not able to get the room they had booked. While we were at the hotel, I mentioned that I had a room booked for the following week as well and if it would be available? Was told they didn't know and I better call ahead and check? Isn't that what reservations are for? Needless to say I canceled that reservation. Eventually I was given some reward points, but it didn't make up for leaving us stranded on our vacation.

Our first night our tv did not work. We were told they would be by sometime that night to fix it but no one showed up. The next day we called the front desk about our tv and they sent someone to fix it. We asked for bath towels and we’re told they would bring some to our room in 30 minutes. 90 minutes later I went to the front desk and they only had one clean towel. She said to come back in 30 minutes. The girl apologized because she just got in at 3 pm. It was now 10 pm. Not sure how much you can get done when all you do is sit at the desk. I would not stay at this hotel. Very poorly managed.

Best place to stay in Saraland best staff, clean. From the front desk clerks to the housekeepers to the breakfast, everything was great. Swimming pool was awesome. Glad to see that breakfast was back to normal. We were welcomed as if we were family.

Clean Rooms and Pretty Views! About 15 mins from Mobile. Rooms are provided with a refrigerator and a microwave. Free breakfast and ample parking. Nice and Quiet location. Friendly Staff. I would come back to this hotel, if ever in the area again.
