I visited the Novotel SJC last New Year's Eve. My wife, my two children and I stayed there and loved the hotel, the facilities, services, pool, breakfast, etc. We liked it so much that we spent Carnival there too. It's our escape from São Paulo to relax. This is our third time there, last week... We went back in 5 days... In addition to the two boys, we now have a 3-month-old baby. This time we stayed in their master suite, which is wonderful, a very good experience. One positive thing that I have to highlight from this last stay is the service provided by Adriana from the restaurant and Cris, the pastry chef. We were celebrating my baby's 3 months, and I asked them to help me by giving me a slice of cake that had been soaked in coffee, and to put some sprinkles on top, something like that, just to take some pictures... And I was surprised with a wonderful brownie. They did a great job!!! However, other points were also different in this last experience, which I even reported to the reception: - 1. The hotel is undergoing renovations and there was no kind of notice on the Accor app or email. The reception is closed, which is a very large space with a games room and was unavailable. But the worst part is that to access the restaurant you have to cross the outside pool area, because of the renovations. Walking through there on cold winter mornings early in the morning with a newborn baby really wasn't nice. - The breakfast replenishment is slow - The parking was always free, and now they've outsourced it and charge 20 reais per day, but that's not the main problem... it's the employees of the company that manages the parking lot... who are not very friendly and are extremely confused and clumsy, making it difficult and slow to enter and leave the hotel. - Also, since Instagram said that the parking was free, at check out they didn't charge me but soon corrected the information.
