A lovely oldie world style and comfortable .The bed was comfortable but very squeaky.It took a lot of water before it became warm.

Excellent stay in Sao Filipe. Every single hotel staff were incredible, friendly and welcoming. Great location, only a 5/10 minute walk into town and hotel pool and dining area was lovely and relaxing. Thank you for the amazing hospitality. Big thank you to Gilson and Ailton! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back again.

Pool needs better maintenance. Filters not working properly so pool foggy. Bathroom in desperate need of updates. Beds hard and super uncomfortable. Staff is excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Room cleaned well daily. Excellent views of the ocean and the Island of Brava. Sunsets are amazing. Potential to be an excellent hotel with some maintenance and upgrades.

We ended up staying here unexpectedly due to flight cancellations because of the Sahara dust cloud. We found the staff to all be friendly and good at their jobs, room was comfortable and had everything we needed (except a kettle for tea/coffee but that's uncommon in Cape Verde). Room was extremely clean. Lovely view from the seaview balcony. Pool area was good, with lovely trees and plants all around. Although the pool really needs a good clean as the water was cloudy and the pool edges were dirty. Food around the pool was great and reasonably priced. Cocktails are also good - strong! Breakfast plentiful with the offer of omelette or eggs cooked to order. I would recommend this hotel.

If you don't expect much then you are not disappointed. All of the hotel is in a drab brown including the sheets. Bed is comfortable, but they are in dire need of new pillows. Room was a decent size and had air conditioning. Bathroom fittings were new, and worked, but the tiles, door and floor tiles were not, and needed replacing. Breakfast was good with omelettes cooked to order. Service in the snack bar was good, but the receptionists were not so good with English, and were quite confused when I asked for a key for the safe. Good views, quiet to sleep at night, and convenient for the town.

L'hôtel a très bel aspect, seul sur son promontoire, face à l'île de Brava, idéalement situé, il permet de très agréables balade dans la ville historique, de bon matin. Ma chambre donnait sur la piscine, pourvue d'une terrasse agréable, munie d'une table et de deux chaises, ce pourrait être un endroit de rêve si : Il ne régnait pas dans cet établissement une chaleur étouffante, pourquoi ne pas servir le petit-déjeuner dans le jardin, plutôt que dans une salle de restaurant sans charme, à l'atmosphère étouffante, où clignote sans cesse un néon au plafond ? Que dire de ce buffet un peu court au petit-déjeuner, aux bananes souvent vertes! La salle de bains mériterait une attention particulière : lavabo minuscule, tout juste assez grand pour y passer la brosse à dent,, bac de douche à la propreté douteuse, qui ne se vidange que si l'on ôte la grille et poignée de porte déglinguée... Enfin, je vous conseille vivement les bouchons d'oreille, car un coq s'égosille dès 3h.00 du matin ! Quelle idée d'avoir placé un poulailler, près de l'hôtel !! Cet établissement ne mérite pas 4 étoiles, un changement de direction est prévu paraît-il, à voir si les choses changeront ...
