I appreciated the location in a quiet spot opposite the lake, about 15 minutes walk to the beach and around the corner from where the restaurants and food stalls start. It’s not a new hotel but I enjoyed the grand 90s feel of the place. We were upgraded to a suite, which looked out onto an abandoned construction site. Not a great view, but it was bright, very roomy, recently painted and super clean. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and booked us a car to Qixian. The breakfast was OK, but not much for those who don’t eat Chinese food: maybe boiled eggs, fruit and cake. I was very happy with my choice.
