We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is housed in a beautifully preserved 17th-century building. The attention to detail in maintaining the historic charm is evident, with tasteful decor and stunning old furniture pieces that add to the ambiance. Despite being located in the heart of town, in an area with restricted car access, the hotel offers the convenience of its own parking space. We were lucky to stay in room 205, which was not only incredibly spacious but also had its own private veranda. The outdoor space was beautifully furnished with a table for four and two sunbeds, perfect for relaxing. One evening, we decided to order room service and enjoyed a delicious spread of local cheeses and embutidos, all paired with a chilled bottle of rosé wine. It was a perfect way to unwind and savor the ambiance of this charming hotel.

Sehr traditionelles Hotel mit tollen Räumen und gut erhaltenen alten Möbeln. Nachts sehr ruhig, obwohl es sehr zentral im Ort liegt. Hervorragendes Abendessen und Frühstück (sehr hygienisch mit eigenen Zangen für Brot und Obst). Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Leider sehr ausgebucht, eine Verlängerung war nicht möglich.

We stayed here for the location as it was our wedding anniversary. Biggest disappointment was the level of service for breakfast - the worst we have had at a Parador. Definitely not value for money for us.

Bâtiment historique très confortable, avec facilité de parking. Rapport qualité /prix intéressant. Personnel fort aimable. Quelques petits soucis au niveau du restaurant mais rien de grave. Nous recommandons sans hésiter…

Disappointed at the attitude of the chef. He served me a burger that was cooked on the outside but raw on the inside. I wasn’t sure at first if this was simply a “rare” burger, despite not being asked how I wanted it cooked. Ate around it , left the rest. Tested the waiter and he confirmed from the kitchen that what I left was undercooked. But because I didn’t complain they insisted I pay full price. So, the lesson here is that the chef is capable of serving undercooked food but quality control is up to you. We won’t be going back, nor will we stay at this particular Paradores on principle. Estuve allí por trabajo y todo genial. El trato fue excepcional, todo el personal muy atento. Sobre todo recepción. La comida también es de gran nivel y una oferta muy distinta a la del resto de la villa. Repetiré sin dudas cuando vuelva por esa zona.

Struttura molto bella nel centro della bella Santillana del Mar. Edificio storico conservato molto bene. Livello elevato, stanza d’epoca, colazione buona. Molto interessante anche il ristorante con piatti di sicuro interesse. Si può raggiungere in macchina o in moto parcheggiando all’aperto o anche al chiuso.

les defauts de l'emplacement bondé et tres tres (trop touristiques) belle prestation à l'habitude de parador mais équipe tres sollicité et fin de saison laisse un ressenti mitigé meme si accueil par responsable reception fort apprécié et avenant

This parador, we can recommend to every one. Be careful to go for a drink on the terrace in front of the parador, ypu will have to wait minimum 15 minutes before you can order and another 15 minutes to be served. Also expected rude and unfriendly service. That is really not acceptable. The other staff is fantastic.
