Windsor Suites Hotel

El Hotel es antiguo y con mobiliario de baja calidad. No tiene aire acondicionado, hay un equipo antiquisimo que no tiene perillas el colchon de la cama esta hundido, control remoto con las pilas colgando, desayuno pobrisimo y en horario muy tarde. Me duche y el agua iba directo a la muralla, posteriormente el baño estaba inundado. Los cobertores llegan a estar pelados de lo antiguo. Es un poco dificil de llegar en auto, los alrededores son oscuros. Se ubica al lado del cerro Huelen y Barrio Lastarria

Hotel com postura de total DESRESPEITO, para com os hóspedes! Precisamos sair do Windsor, depois da 2a noite. Todos os vizinhos de quarto mantiveram som alto e gritaria festiva, durante toda a madrugada, nos impedindo de dormir. Mesmo com a advertência do recepcionista, o problema persistiu. O mesmo funcionário explicou que o hotel alugou vários apartamentos para uma empresa hospedar seus funcionários, provenientes de outro país. Como eles estão há mais de cinco meses, morando naquele espaço, sentem-se donos do lugar, desrespeitando completamente qualquer regra de silêncio. Mesmo sabendo desse problema recorrente, o Windsor insiste em alugar quartos ao lado dos destinados aos barulhentos hóspedes fixos e os hóspedes temporários que se lasquem. Isso tbm foi confirmado pelo funcionário, com meneio afirmativo de cabeça, quando eu expus minha percepção da situação. Péssimo lugar! Precisamos solicitar, na Decolar (que ainda não confirmou se nossa solicitação será aceita) o cancelamento das diárias seguintes e perder parte da viagem, em busca de outra opção de hospedagem. Isso, sem falar do cansaço que nos impediu de fazer os passeios programados para a tarde de hoje. Tenho vídeo que comprova a situação.

From what I read from the reviews I expected something very bad, but the hotel was a pleasant surprise. All the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive, with patience for the language (since I speak very basic Spanish). The breakfast wasn't that wonderful resort buffet, it was simpler, with mixed drinks, tea, coffee or water, and it was very well done, which helped me sustain several days of sightseeing. The room was also a surprise, very large, and with a balcony with a beautiful view of Cerro Santa Lucia. Everything clean, clean towels, clean bed linen. Every day in the morning they knocked on the door to see if we would like to clean the room. Regarding the location, no defects! It's close to the center, close to the Lastarria neighborhood, which has several bars that stay open late and lots of people strolling down the street. There is a metro station nearby, we could do everything on foot. Of course, we need to be careful when walking on the street, as in any big city. We had great days!

The hotel is well located in Lastarria, close to Cerro Santa Lucía. The neighborhood is alternative and charming. It has lots of vegan food, art, street fairs and is gastronomic. Some thought it was dangerous, but we moved through the region very calmly. The hotel itself has a good, clean bed and the shower was warm. The room was kept tidy. The maid was good and asked for a tip of a thousand pesos per day. He left a note and two candies next to the bed. But on this day, she forgot to leave bath towels for us and we dried ourselves with a face towel. LOL. It was the only slip. On the last day, I bought a quiche on the street next door and asked for cutlery to eat it with, but the restaurant said they didn't have it and when I showed them that I meant a knife and fork, they said they couldn't lend it. I found this terrible and very inelegant towards the guest. Combined with the lack of towels on one day, I found the hotel lacking attention towards us. The breakfast is good. There is coffee (soluble and not like we do in Brazil), milk, bread, ham, cheese and eggs. It cost. In some points it left something to be desired, but it was worth the value for money.

The first impact on arrival at the hotel and in the room was terrible, I was very scared and regretted my choice, as the gate seems to be made for a dangerous area and the room looked old and poorly maintained. Despite the scare, the perception has changed a little over the days. Positives: location for those who want to do things on foot, size of the room, someone at the 24h reception Negatives: BREAKFAST! Please, if you're thinking of taking a hotel because of the coffee, don't take this one. Breakfast is always the same (hard bread, cheese, ham, eggs, coffee) and the girl takes a LONG time to serve, stained towels, stained and old sheets, dimly lit room, balcony so dirty it was black.

Hotel with great location, huge and comfortable beds, but old, and we thought the breakfast would be a buffet with options, but it was only bread and eggs, then you could add cheese and ham, black coffee or tea. Only that. We ate this for 7 days, apart from 1 loaf per person. Maids leave messages asking for a tip (bribe) of a thousand pesos a day, so we didn't let them, every day the room became less tidy, cleaning was less careful.
