Santiago de Compostela Hotels with Airport pickup service

The location of the hotel is excellent, you don't need to take a taxi from the airport, you can get there directly by bus, and it only costs 3 euros. The ancient city is just across the road from the hotel, and it’s easy to visit and eat.

This review would have been a 4 except for a few drawbacks. First the positives: great location close to the cathedral, restaurants etc; clean comfortable room and a spotlessly clean bathroom; a seating area on the balcony which is enclosed and looks out on a lovely square. However……. The large opaque glass wall of the bathroom is daft. At night, if you turn on the bathroom light, the bedroom lights up brightly too. While the receptionist was efficient, I’m afraid that friendliness - on arrival or departure - did not feature. The downside of the view and the balcony was that the room looked onto the street. There is no soundproofing to the street, even with the windows and shutters closed. There was shouting on the street, intermittently but frequently, until the wee small hours of Sunday morning. All quiet the previous and subsequent night.

For our party of 5 we had 2 separate rooms: standard for 2 and a larger room for 3 (although it could accommodate 4). Our larger room on the top floor had angled ceilings (and skylights), so just be mindful as you are walking around. We did appreciate the separation of rooms: 2 twins in a smaller enclosed area with the queen bed in the larger common area (with sofa chairs for additional relaxation). Continental breakfast was simple and delicious (they squeeze the orange juice for you when seated). Being uphill from the Cathedral, the location was quiet compared to the busier area below the Cathedral, but taking a taxi to return was very inexpensive and a relief after all the walking.

· La ubicación es inmejorable, cerca del bus que va al aeropuerto, al lado del centro , está muy bien , tiene dos terrazas, super divinas, tienes agua, café y té. También tienes neveras para guardar tus cosas. Una Habitación muy amplia y comodisima. Un detalle, puedes lavar alguna ropa, que cuando llevas muchos dias siempre necesitas algo , Lo recomiendo. Seleccionamos en este alojamiento en base a las buenas valoraciones que habiamos leido y la verdad es q fue un fiasco total. Para empezar con la recepcion, llegamos y no habia nadie, llamamos y nos dicen que tenemos que ir nosotros a recoger las llaves a otro sitio. Primera en la frente y con el coche que no se podia aparcar en la misma calle. Pero lo peor fue que las habitaciones tenian muros de papel y las camas son probablemente las peores en las que he dormido en mi vida, los muelles crujian solo con moverte un milimetro asi q no pegamos ojo en toda la noche, cuando no se oia los crujidos de nuestra cama era la de los vecinos de arriba, un número. Cuando intente llamar al dia siguiente no me contestaron (me pregunto que hubiera pasado si hubiese sido una urgencia) hasta mucho mas tarde y por supuesto con el consabido “lo sentimos mucho pero esto es lo q hay y no hay habitaciones disponibles para cambiarles”. No descansamos nada, en el tiempo que estuvimos alli no hubo nunca nadie del hotel que se pasara por alli, es un dormitorio y punto, no se puede llamar hotel y a nosotros desde luego nos arruinó la experiencia en Santiago. Hay muchas y mejores opciones en Santiago y no recomiendo en absoluto este sitio.
