Stayed in dorm room 1 for 4 nights. The hostel didn’t have a 24 hour reception, so we were in touch with the staff about our arrival. Even though we had a late flight into Santander, the staff were very good about helping us to check in at about 9pm. As part of the check-in the staff showed us the kitchen, breakfast room and the shared areas. The place is immaculately clean. The staff were also really good with recommendations about stuff to do in Santander as well as day trips around Cantabria. The dorm room was a 6 bed room with 3 bunks of 2 beds each. Each bed has an allocated locker and a key, along with a fob to touch in and out of the hotel entrance. Each bed comes with a privacy light and an electrical socket. Clean sheets were provided, although not a duvet cover. I think the mattress was foam. It does kind of sink in, but the mattress is thick and does support my weight. It's comfortable enough, although I prefer a firmer mattress. The hostel is located in a converted flat right on Calle Burgos, which is one of the main shopping streets in Santander. The dorm room has a balcony that opens out to the street. It’s low season, so it was quiet enough during the night. There’s two bathrooms, one for the boys and the other for girls. The boys bathroom is really small, it just about fits the shower cubicle and toilet. The two bathrooms have a shared entrance, but each has a separate door with locks. The girls bathroom is much bigger than the boys, paradoxically. The hotel doesn’t provide breakfast per se, but it does have a coffee machine dispensing latte, mocha cappuccino and it’s free, so no complaints. The kitchen does have pots and pans, utensils and plates, should you decide to cook. There’s also a sitting area with tables and chairs, where I wrote this review. There’s also free Wifi throughout and works really well. Overall, I had a very good stay. The facilities are good for a hostel, the staff are awesome and the place immaculately clean. The size of the bathroom did annoy me after a couple of days, but it’s not a showstopper.
