These cottages are lovely! Everything was absolutely perfect. The cottage was new, clean, comfy, and so incredibly convenient to walk around Santa Ynez. We can’t wait to come back.

Our room was ready, well before check in time, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Room were well appointed and very comfortable. Bed was comfortable. We were I. The room call Brick Barn. Loved the bathroom and a very spacious shower. Our friends stayed in on of the cottages which looked great. When in the area again, will definitely book For Friends Inn.

wonderful stay at for friends Inn…great breakfast and wonderful happy hour with live music….they serve wine from local vineyards! nice room with big balcony looking at the mountains. great location you can walk to restaurants and a few wineries!

This place is unbelievable! Everything I want in a room. Nice and quiet, convenient parking, coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave, cutlery, easy to operate AC and heating, a great tv, a magnifying makeup mirror, this room had it all. We stayed in the room called Meadowvale. But I think what sets this place apart is the staff. Ever ready to help and knowledgeable about the valley. And don’t get me started on the home cooked breakfasts or the cookies delivered to my door every night. And some evenings during their happy hour (yes to wine and cheese please!) there is wonderful guitar music. We will, without a doubt, come back here.

Have stayed here several times but finally got to stay 3 nights! Got to enjoy all the perks, wonderful breakfast, fun happy hour with wine nibbles and music. As well as all the friendly faces here. Never got in the car after happy hour as downtown Santa Ynez is right there, with great restaurants, bars and shops. Cannot recommend ForFriends more highly. So relaxing and welcoming. This place is a must!

Located on Edison Street in the heart of Santa Ynez, ForFriends Inn is an 8-room bed & breakfast centered around a beautiful Craftsman-style main house. My wife and I spent two nights there during late February 2025. We were in the Brick Barn room, which I understand is the smallest room at the Inn. It was, however, beautifully appointed and definitely spacious enough for my wife and me. The king bed was extremely comfortable, there was a large walk-in closet, and a huge bathroom with an impressive shower. Everything in the room (lights, heater, air conditioner, wireless Internet, flat screen television, etc.) worked the way it was supposed to. The only downside was that there were no USB ports, so if you can’t do without your electronic devices, be sure to bring your own wall chargers. Among the highlights of our stay were the delightful breakfasts. Every morning you have a choice between bacon and eggs and the daily special. On the two mornings we were there the specials were avocado toast and breakfast tacos. Their wine and charcuterie happy hour was also fun; one evening, Dave (the owner) brought his guitar and performed live music for the guests. Everyone who worked there went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We couldn’t have imagined a better experience, so we are delighted to give ForFriends Inn our highest recommendation.

Our stay at ForFriends was the best we've had in this area. The staff (Carolyn, Robyn, Sandra) were very friendly and so helpful! They had great suggestions on where to visit and were very knowledgeable. The breakfast was great and the happy hour wine and treats were a delight! We stayed at Sunstone tower and it was very clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Easy walk to stores, restaurants and local wine tasting. It was well worth the stay and would definitely recommend!
