Amazing and gorgeous old Victorian home! It was so cozy and romantic! The owners are so nice ans the breakfast was unforgettable! The grounds are beautiful woth a cute old barn and old milking station. Fun to walk around on. They also gave a wine passport which gave us good deals on local wine tasting! 100% recommend

This was our second stay at the Gables and we were super happy to have gone back. The location is perfect. If you want to go to wineries in either Napa or Sonoma it’s almost right in between. And getting to the coast (which is ridiculously gorgeous) is only a 35 minute drive. The Gables is so quaint and Pam & Larry couldn’t be more accommodating. The grounds are rustic and beautiful with their own riesling vineyard. (Make sure to ask to try Riesling made from their grapes it’s fantastic!). The wineries and restaurants they recommend never disappoint and breakfast is always way over the top. Larry is a world class chef! If you’re planning a trip to the wine country make sure you stay at The Gables!

The Gables is a perfect home base for wine country adventures! Comfortable rooms in a very picturesque setting. Pam and Larry were incredible hosts, from making recommendations for places to visit to serving up delicious three course gourmet breakfasts. I don’t have a lot of experience with B&Bs but we stayed at three on this trip and The Gables had the best food and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit!

This bed and breakfast is one of the best my husband and I have stayed at. The owners, Larry and Pam made us feel so welcomed. The breakfast were incredible and took into account one of us is gluten free and the other dairy free. The grounds are beautiful and I loved morning coffee on their wonderful deck! Our room on the first floor was very spacious with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the advice and help from Larry and Pam on the selections of wineries to visit which made this unique trip. We hope to return soon.

I cannot rate The Gables highly enough! Pam and Larry run the most extraordinary Inn. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, their friendly welcome, care and attention was just outstanding. The breakfasts were better than any 5* hotel. What a talent chef Larry has! Initially I'd booked a four-night stay before moving on. However, my next hotel was in the middle of a total refurbishment when I arrived and I could not have stayed there and indeed did not feel safe to do so. Late in the evening and with an hour's notice, Pam and Larry welcomed me back for two more nights, handed me a glass of much-needed wine and treated me like a member of their family. I cannot thank them enough and hope to revisit before very long! You will not regret staying here - it's just wonderful.

If you want to take a step back in time and relax THIS IS THE PLACE!!!! The home is exquisite, we definitely took the time to look around and take pictures of the beautiful furniture and décor. Our room was light, comfy sheets and made us feel spoiled. The room had a sound machine so we had river sound in the background for the nights. The property is large, 4 acres. Large patio, lots grass area and so much beauty surrounding it. We had 2 favorite spots on the property: the huge redwoods (it's a circle of redwoods and we sat on the chairs by the fire - amazing feel) and walking by the vines planted on the property. We wish we had more time there! The owners are wonderful and very welcoming! Oh...the breakfast...yes that is a wonderful way to start the day: 3 course homemade breakfast...talk about spoiled!!! Will go back and would recommend to friends and family!

The Gables Wine Country Inn was the most wonderful Bed and Breakfast we have stayed at in a very, very long time (and we have stayed at many over the years)! It was the perfect place to celebrate a special birthday and much anticipated retirement! The hosts (Pam and Larry) were incredible. They were friendly, knowledgable, accommodating and an absolutely fantastic team of baker and chef!! Clearly much love and hard work has gone into creating such a wonderful venue and the attention to every detail made us feel like we were visiting old friends and not meeting inn keepers for the first time. Recommendations for activities, places to visit and wineries for tastings were spot on. We will definitely return and encourage anyone looking for a fantastic get-a-way in lovely Sonoma Valley to try The Gables Wine Country Inn. We are sure that you won't be disappointed! This is a fantastic place for a romantic get-a-way, weekend with friends or family or a solo trip just to relax!

If you are interested in going back in time by staying at a well-maintained Victorian house from 1877, you might consider the Gables Wine Country Inn in Santa Rosa. The rooms are spacious with antique period furnishings. The owners serve a delicious three course breakfast. However, if you get a room in the front of the inn, expect a lot of noise from passing traffic, as it is located on a busy country road where vehicles tend to speed by. A white noise machine is provided to try to offset the noise level, After a while, the noise doesn’t seem as bothersome as much, perhaps as you get more accustomed or desensitized to it. Befitting an older inn, there is no television in the room, but WiFi is provided. Each room has its own bathroom with a claw foot tub. A shower head was added as a modern convenience, but be advised that the bathtub plumbing in this period house is antiquated with the spigots located very low in the bathtub and hard to reach to adjust water temperature. We learned to use our feet to turn the spigots. Moreover, if you are older or have physical challenges, it may be hard to climb into the high wall tub, and the shower space is extremely cramped and actually claustrophobic. Breakfast, while delectable, is served only at 9AM usually in the dining room at the sound of a gong. Here you are seated at long tables with other guests. Depending on your preference, this arrangement may seem regimented. One morning, however, as there were only four guests, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast al fresco on the deck. This may have been an exception. The inn is on four acres of land with a deck, vineyard, and cottage to rent. Most visitors come to visit wineries for wine tasting.

If you need a get away from this crazy world you need to book your stay at The Gables Wine Country Inn. Each room is special and as soon as you enter this beautiful Victorian you know you are entering a magical place. You are amidst the vineyards, gardens and lavender. You await the chime of the gong knowing you will have the best 3 course breakfast ever. Home made scones and jams are mouthwatering and who knew apricots, almonds and honey could be such a delight. Larry the chef always has a special egg dish cooked to perfection and his wife Peggy is always there to take care of every need. Do not delay! You deserve to be pampered.
