At first, I thought, what a great place. It was decorated nicely, and Ellie was helpful in getting us a supreme room. Also, the restaurant food was good, and the server, although spread way too thin, was lovely (such slow food delivery caused a 2.5-hour dinner, though) Then I asked Ellie for a second night in the same room at the same price, and she agreed. I told her I would get my credit card. When I returned 25 minutes later, she told me she had “misspoke” and would have to charge current rates. I realized she was misinformed. Ok, so we talked to Lauren the manager and haggled a bit over which room we would have for the second night and then paid the current rate. We then were moved to a deluxe king room a step down from supreme. It was still an okay room, but there was a weird machine with a tube out the window making a loud noise in the room. I called down and spoke to Lauren and asked her about the machine. She said it was an extra air conditioner and asked if we wanted it removed. I told her, “No, we are going out, and please DO NOT GO IN THE ROOM WHEN WE ARE NOT THERE.” When we returned to our room, the machine and hose were gone, and the window was back to normal. We even had a do not disturb sign on the door, and someone from their maintenance department entered our room without our permission. I spoke again to Lauren, who said she had “misinterpreted” what I had said. I told her she was lying. She then changed her story several times. I think it was a way for her and maintenance to go in our room. When I initially spoke to Lauren, and I told her we were going out, and not to go in the room she asked me twice if I wanted maintenance to go in while we were not there, and my husband and I both loudly told her “no.” We feel violated and encroached upon. Neither of us could sleep all night. At this point, we can't tell if anything is missing and don't know why they barged in.
