Popular Santa Ponsa 4-star Hotels

This hotel is very nice, clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and for the most, very helpful. The food was also excellent. We were informed that we could not go all inclusive (as the rep said that this was not an offer) but on seeing what I believe to be the all inclusive lunch anyway - dry bread, a few meats and cheeses - it would not have been worth the while. With regards to drinks, I bought mine from the shop along the street and kept them in the fridge! There is also a wonderful baguette shop along the road and the food there was amazing. The downfall was the transfer from the airport - taking an hour and forty minutes instead of twenty five minutes, and driving down the same road at least twice. (TUI) We were in the annexe to the hotel which was disappointing, (up in a lift for three floors, then three left turns, and then another lift for three floors. My mother is aged 95!) and then in my room, I had wires sticking out of the ceiling where the fan should have been. My bathroom expel air did not work at all. My room air conditioning took three days to work. The balcony lights did not work at all. To top it all off, when we got up at 3:30am to leave, we had NO lights at all, and I was told by the lady on reception to use my mobile phone as a torch. Very unhelpful. However, it is a beautiful place and unlike the other end of the area which is like a little Britain and I would have been very upset had we have stayed there instead. Also to mention, beware that when booking through TUI, you have to pay for your seats on the plane, and then on arrival at the hotel you need to pay a community charge - ours came to just under £40.

Had a lovely 3 night stay which allowed us 4 full days due to flight times. Myself and my son (21) stayed in a twin room which suited us for putting our heads down, showering and getting out and about. Clean towels and bedding changed and attended to every day. Pool area quiet and relaxed. Very quiet hotel (SMELLS LOVELY) Staff approachable and attentive. Breakfast which was included was fabulous with fresh fruit and local produce. We asked to have our room extended for our last day but was fully booked. Managed to extend to a 13h departure and luggage taken care of and still had full hotel facilities available to use. Nice location ( beach 5min walk). Supermarket (BIG Eroski) across road and fridge in room....

Overall, we felt very comfortable in the hotel. It was clean and the service was good. All of our requests were fulfilled, such as renting a parasol or having breakfast outside of regular hours. The location is very central and a few meters from the beach. The hotel also had several pools and roof terraces that were very pleasantly designed. Our room also had a sea and city view with a spacious balcony. The room furnishings were functional and the bed was very comfortable (king size plus). The breakfast was varied, there was a good selection of fresh fruit, and the coffee was also very good. Most of the guests were English, but the atmosphere was relaxed and uncomplicated. We would definitely recommend the hotel.

Just got home from the best few days at this hotel. We could not have asked for more! We were greated on arrival with a glass of Cava. We were checked in quickly and our room was ready at 2pm. The lady on reception was so friendly and helpful. Gave us pool towels so we could go and enjoy the pool straight away. The rooms were clean and modern. You are on a busy roundabout so expect a little road noise. We emailed ahead to request a high floor with evening sun and that is what we were given. It was my husbands birthday, the staff had left us a bottle of Cava in the room which was a really nice touch. There are loads of lovely places to eat within walking distance. Harry's next door was amazing. This hotel is a little gem we will definitely be back.
