lovely find - went with jet2 simple transfers - requested a pool view by phone as sea facing rooms were additional 40 euros per day - and we got a pool view - hotel recently refurbed and the room was fine - we did B & B - did not stay in the hotel in the evening a bit sterile but enjoyed the local restaurants all of which were great - block house vitos - las olas - Xaloc as were the ones on the beach - the location of the hotel is ideal bang on the beach - the staff were great and the pool cool - but once in you were fine - cold water swimming by choice?? - lovely resort and 25 mins from the airport - we used the fast track security which was great

On arrival to this nightmare of a hotel on 25th sept 24 we were allocated room at back the view was some guy peeing up a tree shouting obscenities to us and sewage smell would have knocked us out went sundown asked to be moved 2 girls on reception who's attitude was really bad told us no rooms available we replied 460 rooms and your saying they are full ? We had no choice but to sleep on reception floor and chairs not that we did sleep as very cold at night other member of staff came in he told us he has a room for us although we were told by other staff there was none he took me to see room which was next door to 1st one so could still see guy and smell sewage explained this to him his answer too bad we asked for a manager told wasnt in till 7am on 26th we had to sit there till tony manager came in he completely ignored us we had to approach him he offered to give us a room with pool view for extra 420 euros could not believe what he was saying we already booked and paid for room why want extra money his answer it's better room told him absolutely not paying anything else we also asked for pillow and blanket as bit cold during night told no again then at 6.30 am I had go in to toilet at reception take my insulin as diabetic asked for towel to freshen up once again told no on informing staff I was diabetic they just laughed then 1 my friends got stuck in lift for 40 mins on her release not 1 person asked if she was ok or wanted drink water we then looked down open lift shaft and the sewage was rising to top lift will I be back definitely not if I could have afforded to fly back home I certainly would absolute disgrace being treated like this so check all reviews when booking

I enjoyed staying at the hotel, the rooms and hotel were spotless, the food was delicious and varied-sometimes a wee bit cold, the drinks were great, really enjoyed the wine and soda. The pool was clean and pleasant, it opened at 9am which allowed for everyone to get a bed - bar not open till 11am, even for soft drinks. The cleaners and servers were polite and friendly, the receptionists not so much. We checked out at 11am and had out AI bands removed even though we weren’t being picked up till 7pm if we wanted anything we had to pay :( Over all I had a lovely time and if I went back to Santa Ponca I would return to this hotel

The receptionist was the worst I’ve ever come across , miserable and quick to get you out the way . Because it was 8. 55 and not 9 am we put the towels down on the sun-beds the lifeguard removed them … come on 5 minutes!! Not enough bar stuff and there was always queues, and had to drink out of a plastic beaker for a deposit of €1 . Even when there was glasses, they tried to give you a beaker. The glasses were saved for the paying !! customers. A deposit of €10 for a dirty green towel from miserable receptionists . Asked the receptionist to give us a wake up call The day of departure at 7 am did it happen? Not on your life . Hotel in good location . Food was very good. Rooms are very clean and the cleaning ladies that clean the room were very pleasant , they should be receptionists . I will not be returning.

Not sure how we got so lucky, coming across this hotel. Nice modern room, new bathroom suite and great cleaning team who left it looking immaculate everyday. Excellent breakfast and bar. Outstanding location for the beach, across the road with sun beds and straw shades, you pay for the day. Found an excellent steak restaurant, as well as bars with live music and a great bakery for beach pick-nicks. Hope to be over in the spring, to do it all again.

A group of 6 of us have just returned from a 5 night stay at Whala! Isabella . The hotel is very nice after recent renovations, clean, modern and in an excellent location. All well and good so far , unfortunately there was a major issue with one of our rooms , an awful nauseating smell of drains that hit you as soon as you walked in the room . The only way to slightly reduce the “aroma” was to put the plugs into the bath and sink but sadly this didn’t stifle the stench for long . We complained to reception and it seemed apparent that they were indeed aware of the issue . We asked to move rooms and were faced with a raised hand and and a resounding “FULL “ from the unsympathetic, poorly trained receptionist. We complained again the next day and were told that a “technician” would come to the room to investigate, the “technician “ did indeed arrive , promptly sprayed some air freshener, said “one moment”and was never seen again!! ( I can only think the fumes got to him ) . When checking out we complained yet again , were told by male ( possibly more senior ) receptionist that we could have been moved to another room if we had asked ( very helpful on our last day !) we advised him that we had indeed asked on our first day . After 26 years in the business he hadn’t come across a situation like ours ( ignorance is bliss ). There seems to be a lack of training / communication on the reception desk. On speaking to another guest they had the very same issue with their room but unfortunately we didn’t get the room number . So in short , if you arrive and are given room 418 refuse it !!! The pool area is clean and had no issues in getting a bed although on our last day we put our towels down at 9am then went for breakfast as was our routine , half an hr max . On this day there was a change of lifeguard, an older “gentleman “ who , as we were passing said “ don’t be 3 hours “ . Absolutely no need for this snide comment . The rooms are well equipped ( though tea/coffee/ sugar seem to be rationed) but are on the small side . Aside from the issues mentioned we had a lovely stay on a bed and breakfast basis, which was varied , fresh and plentiful. If you have no sense of smell it will be fine , if not , this is your final warning avoid room 418!!!

We'd go back next summer because we both agreed the location was absolutely ideal for us. With the beach across the road and the shops/restaurants and bars all on the hotel's doorstep we hardly had to leave the area for anything! Super easy and lovely staff too. Reception people recommended a few places to go and all good suggestions. The room we got was great. Good bed and the cleaning ladies were good at their jobs. There's buses that take you into Palma city and I'd say it's worth a day trip especially if you'd like to look inside the famous Cathedral.

Currently here so start with positives. Hotel is in a good location with beach across the road. It's fairly modern and clean . Breakfast is good with plenty of choice . Unfortunately more negatives. Rooms at rear have really poor views and we ended up in a disabled room which isn't designed for able bodied. Staff are all young and obviously lack hotel experience as not much help especially check in staff who aren't friendly. Hotel appears to be run on a shoe string. No tea , coffee, milk provided in room or water despite 4 star rating which it clearly isn't . Food wise breakfast is fine but forget the rest as it's poor to say the least especially deserts which were a joke ( see pics) No entertainment so pretty soulless. B&B best option . After visiting other hotels for drinks I would look elsewhere as we paid 1500 for a week's holiday and better options in Santa ponsa . Check inn staff need customer services training as weren't interested in our complaint over the room . Pool short on beds and the 4 poster beds empty due to ridiculous charges . Can be queues for drinks as poorly organised same at breakfast. Can't recommend and won't be returning .

The location of this hotel is incredible. Next to the beach, and in the middle of many shops, restaurants and bars. The staff were kind and helpful, and the rooms were cleaned daily. It was clean, and had great facilities. It’s not “fancy” but still nice - It’s a little on the small side (pool, room etc) but this didn’t bother us - we spent most days at the beach. When we did go to the pool, we had no issues getting a sun lounger. We were breakfast only, and the breakfast was incredible! We found we didn’t really need lunch because it was so great. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, and one day, I hope to return myself.
