A pretty good motel. Breakfast is filling, with homemade pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. The swimming pool is also clean. There are many places to eat around the self-driving area.
There is a San Luis Dam around the hotel, with nice scenery. You can take pictures when you pass by

Right next to Highway 5, convenient transportation, free parking, clean rooms, and average breakfast! The front desk service is a bit slow, but the attitude is very good. The price is acceptable on weekends.'

The room smelled like urine, visible urine stains on carpet, it sounded like someone tried to break into our room through the conjoining door, woke up to ants all over our stuff.

This hotel is nasty. We checked in and the front desk person was awesome (Haris). We got to our room and there was hair in the sink and shower. A smeared spot on the bedspread that looked like chocolate, at least I hope that is what it was. That immediately was put on the floor. The bed itself was clean. The lock on the sliding glass door was broken and rigged up and the door would not slide open due to dirty, they had a stick in the track to secure it. The pool was clean but had major pieces of plaster missing all over. I wish we could have secured a room elsewhere for the night. I would never recommend anyone staying here. Best Western should do a check on this place. I did let the office know that the room was in need of a deep cleaning and some maintenance.

A stay in Santa Nella wasn’t on my agenda last week but life and car troubles happen. When I checked in, I was stressed. Taylor made everything better. She’s the kind of person I wish I had working for me when I was a front desk manager. She made my random requests happen and was super kind about it. She definitely deserves a raise. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to Santa Nella but if I do, I know where I’ll be staying.

Good place for a travel stop over
The hotel is a quaint, historic location popular for Andersen’s Pea Soup restaurant. We had dinner there which was excellent. The room we stayed in was neat and clean however had a strong smell of cigarettes. We booked a non smoking room, but this room had clearly been used by smokers. The front desk was sympathetic but unfortunately no other room was available. They did send a maintenance person with air deodorizer which helped a little.
Overall not a bad place to stay, just could’ve been better.
