Hotel Riu Palace Santa Maria

Guests praised the friendly and professional service, high-quality breakfast, spacious rooms, well-maintained facilities, and cleanliness. Some found the pillows too soft.

Both me and wife got food poisoning at the hotel. We both suffered this terrible thing for 6 days, not being able to leave our room. The food hygiene and cross contamination in the restaurants is to say tge least very poor. When we spoke to other guests, a lot had had tge some experience. The Hotel is massive and split onto six blocks, 3 stores highvwith no lifts do if you have a problem with stairs then you gave a problem as we weren't told about this. To go to reception, the main bars, shop, it's a 3/4 of a mile round trip which gets a bit tiresome 3 times a day in the wind, which by the way, never stops blowing, ever! There is very little seating in the main area, and you have to stand looking for a seat to become free. There are wild dogs on the beach which the hotel also allows them to come into the restaurant when you're eating. Not impressed with that. A lot of people like this place. I get it if you like to drink and are not bothered about the food hygiene, don't go on the beach, don't mind the constant wind and the 3 mile round trips every day for amenities and catching food poisoning. Tui were very un helpful and just kept referring my complaints to there terms and conditions. Not impressed with that at all. Needless to say we will mot ho back here and will not ho on a Tui holiday again. Forgot yo mention the flight out was a nightmare as 3 rows of fone family decided to try and drink the plane dry, all helped by the in flight stewards
