Melia Dunas Beach Resort & Spa

Had a fabulous stay at The Melia Dunas at the beginning of March. I travelled solo and was booked in The Adults Only Level area which was a bonus and I benefited from some lovely extras including a welcome & leaving gesture of fruit & cheese brought to the room and my A’La Carte restaurant reservations were automatically made for me. I received reservations for 4 different restaurants although I didn’t actually use them al but ensured I cancelled with The Level Office. I probably didn’t make best use of all of the adults only areas available to me and didn’t make the most of the premium drinks as I did go into Santa Maria a lot but I was happy with the facilities I used My room was kept lovely & clean as was all of the public areas. I really enjoyed the food in the main buffet restaurant as there was lots of choice and plenty of fresh salads, vegetables and fruit. I always found something to eat, and enjoyed it maybe the only negative is that the food is not kept that hot. The staff were very friendly and whenever I had a question they were really helpful. I also caught some of the evening entertainment which was good fun. I’d also recommend treatments in the spa. The weather is great at this time of year and through the day it’s hot, even if a little windy you catch the sun. A cardigan or light jacket is recommended in the evening. I did not experience any problems with mosquitos or bugs of any kind. Overall I had a fantastic stay, just what was need!!!
