I highly recommend this hidden gem! The experience far exceeded expectations! From the moment you step into the hotel, the warm touch of the vintage brass key transports you back in time, and every detail tells a story of bygone times.
The terrace is particularly stunning. Enjoy a cup of fragrant coffee while the vibrant, colorful buildings unfold before your eyes. Peacocks occasionally stroll among them, their feathers shimmering in the sunlight—every photo is a magazine cover masterpiece. The guest rooms embody a vintage aesthetic to the extreme, with distressed furniture and vintage ornaments, creating a fleeting moment of time. The most impressive part is the bathroom, incredibly spacious and meticulously detailed.

Farmhouse. They were very helpful when unloading our luggage, but hinted at a luggage carry-on fee when we left. I'm floored. The rooms are shabby as can be. The common areas are decent.

Not our kind of hotel, no bar, pool was uninviting, air conditioning in our room had not been put on before we arrived and it took a day to cool the room down, strange atmosphere, not very welcoming. Am thinking everyone giving the glowing reviews stayed somewhere else! The male staff member who worked at breakfast was delightful and it's him and the comfortable bed that has made me give 3 stars otherwise would have been 2. We won't return or recommend.

This exquisite boutique hotel lived up to its glowing reviews—from the serene atmosphere (interrupted by only the occasional cries of the peacocks on the grounds), to the delicious cooked-to-order breakfasts, to the fado performances in the evening. Our family of four stayed in the two-bedroom Majestic Suite, which offered breathtaking views from its private balcony—we sat there for hours in the late afternoon, watching the mist float past the Moorish Castle. We also appreciated the enormous master bathroom (although there was no door closing the main bathroom area off from the bedroom, which was a little odd). In all, a lovely stay.

The Marmoris Palace was a highlight of our trip to Portugal. The building and grounds are beautiful, and the location is incredibly convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful. Management has obviously thought through the best way to serve their guests while maintaining a small, intimate hotel atmosphere. Breakfast is lovely - a nice range of options, served by friendly, cheerful staff in a beautiful space. We came back from a long day of touring in need of a late lunch, and didn't feel like making the short walk into town. The hotel has a nice assortment of simple sandwiches and other snacks available (even though there is no real restaurant.) We ordered toasted cheese sandwiches, which were exactly what we wanted. The staff was also very helpful before and after our trip, recommending a driver and retrieving a lost item. We were really glad that we spent a few days in Sintra - there is so much to see, and visiting sites early in the day and late in the day meant we missed the worst of the crowds. We stayed in the Family Suite, with two bedrooms (and a private elevator, which my daughter thought was great). The only slight downside was that her bedroom was a bit warm, because the AC was in the main bedroom. We hope to make it back to Sintra, and would definitely return to the Marmoris Palace!

We loved our stay. The Sintra Marmoris Palace is a haven within the busy, crowded town of Sintra. Once we arrived we happily parked our car and left it at the property. We had booked a Deluxe room with a garden view. It was quite large and heavenly. The TV is hidden within a mirror, which we had never seen before. Our room had access to a private patio where we enjoyed listening to the peacocks and parrots on the property. If we had been there during warmer months we would have enjoyed the lovely outdoor swimming pool. From the Marmoris Palace you can walk into town. We even walked up to the Quinta da Regaleira from the hotel, but be prepared for many steps and hills. Breakfast was a delight with different options offered. Professional staff who spoke excellent English, which we appreciated. A memorable stay!
