This was our second stay at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear, and we loved it. Really nice rooms, relaxing atmosphere, great breakfasts, and wonderful staff. The location is very convenient to the Plaza as well as some of our favorite restaurants (within walking distance). We can’t wait to go back!

We stayed at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear for a weekend reunion with college friends, and it was amazing! The place is beautiful—full of charm and character. Our room was perfect: super comfortable, spacious, and private, with lots of thoughtful little touches (and the sheets were seriously dreamy). Breakfast at the inn was a daily treat—don’t skip it! And the afternoon Happy Hour was a fun bonus. The staff was awesome—super friendly and helpful, but never overbearing. The location was great too—close to everything we wanted to see and do in Santa Fe. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at The Inn of the Turquoise Bear was wonderful. The Inn is historic and beautifully set among trees and flowers. Breakfast was so delicious, we bought the cookbook! Innkeeper Dan and his staff were so helpful and kind. I can’t wait to go back.

The Inn of the Turqoise Bear was the perfect place for our getaway to Santa Fe! We really enjoyed the history of the B&B, and the New Mexico decor of our room and the lobby/dining room was spot-on. The location was also ideal - it's close to everything and parking was easy. The innkeepers were friendly throughout our stay (check-in process, answering questions, and helping us with recommendations, etc.)! Every morning we also had a delicious breakfast, and the blue corn pinon pancakes were a highlight. We would 100% stay here again! Thank you!

- Overall: 5 - Location: 5 - Exterior: 4 - Interior: 4 - Ambiance: 5 - Witter Byner Room: 5 - Witter Byner Bathroom: 4 - Breakfast: 5 - Amenities: 5 - Hosts: 5 - Housekeeping: 5 - Parking: 4 - Value: 5 For the first stop on our driving tour of the Southwest US, we stayed in Santa Fe for 5 nights. But where? Reviewers touted the Inn Of The Turquoise Bear…..and they were right. Pros: - Location: Central. Just south of the downtown area and a 15 minute walk to Canyon Road. - Exterior: A sprawling property in a residential neighborhood. Several smaller buildings seem to have been added over the (many) years to the main building seen on most photos of the property. - Interior: Like going back 100 years. Things were fixed, of course…especially in public spaces…but you might feel as if you’re in a living museum. - Our Room (Witter Byner): Large and rambling. More than enough room for 2 people plus a balcony overlooking the front of the property. Very comfortable. I could live there for a month if we didn’t mind going up and down 15 stairs to the main floor. One interesting aspect: The bathroom. It was very nice and fully equipped, but separate from our room and down 5 stairs. That wasn’t a problem during the day, but a few nights were an adventure - Breakfast: Unreal. Everything was homemade with great taste. The buffet portion had sliced fruit, granola, juices, pastries and yogurt. The hosts and kitchen staff had 3-5 entrees available each day. I rarely tried those since I filled up on the buffet, but my wife ate one every day and only had good things to say. Service at the community table was gracious and unhurried with lots of interesting conversation. - Amenities: A 1-2 hour Happy Hour every day starting at 430 or 5 PM. Fresh cookies, fruit, tea and jug water were available all day (coffee from 630-10 AM). Umbrellas. Plenty of smiles. - Hosts: Everyone was very friendly, helpful, informative and even charming. Special thanks to Aileen (sp?). - Housekeeping: Effective, efficient and unobtrusive. - Parking: Sufficient. The large courtyard in front of the of the property provided enough room for cars in the 11 room B&B. - Price and Value: Reasonable. It’s not cheap, but as in most cases you get what you pay for. We’d heartily recommend the Inn Of The Turquoise Bear, but make reservations well in advance.

This is a great place to stay in Santa Fe. Fun rooms that vary in size, wine tasting in the afternoon and an excellent breakfast. Staff are super friendly and there are numerous places to hang out during the day. They have fresh cookies to snack on all day long and dessert treats in the afternoon. Convenient parking too.

I stayed at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear for a long weekend during the 2025 Santa Fe International Literary Festival. It was a perfect home base in Santa Fe! I loved that it was an easy walk into town (15 minutes), but felt serene and quiet and tucked into nature. The staff was so friendly and kind, and the breakfasts and baked goods (frittata, cookies, fresh juices!) were delicious. My room was lovely and comfortable with the perfect amount of Santa Fe charm. They really thought of everything a guest might want (refillable water bottles, snacks, extra blanket for the colder nights, reliable internet, a clothing steamer) and I didn't find myself lacking for anything during my entire stay— a rare treat. I can't wait to come back!

5 The Turquoise Bear is a gem! The impecably maintained historic building and grounds are stunningly gorgeous. Every room is unique and beautifully appointed. The staff are fabulous and friendly, and have anticipated a guest's every need. Breakfast is delicious and a delightful time to meet other guests, as is the daily wine gathering hour. The location is close to the Plaza area and Canyon Road, making it easy to walk to many points of interest. My husband and I do not consider staying anywhere else when we visit Sant
