Inn on the Alameda

The Inn on the Alameda is where I always stay when visiting Santa Fe. Once again, my stay at the Inn was wonderful. Arriving at the Inn, you will notice how pretty and well-maintained it is. The lobby, with the rocking chairs, sofa, and fireplace is welcoming. The garden off the restaurant area is always open for a meal, a drink, or for relaxing. The dining room, where breakfast and other meals are served shares the space with the well-stocked bar, which prides itself for its large collection of tequilas. A complete buffet breakfast was served, including fresh fruits and fruit juices, eggs, breakfast potatoes, beans, breakfast meats, and a selection of rolls, muffins, and toast. I also enjoyed lunch and a dinner, featuring Santa Fe dishes, and a nice wine list. My room, as always, was spacious and clean and everything worked. My balcony with a table and two chairs was perfect for reading and relaxing. But, the most enjoyable aspect of your stay will be the staff and the excellent service they provide. Everyone I encountered from the front desk to the restaurant to housekeeping was professional, friendly, and helpful at all times. Within walking distance of the Plaza, the Canyon Road district, and many restaurants and shopping, the Inn's location is still quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend!

This is a fantastic boutique hotel/inn. I am traveling with a friend, and the room is large and immaculate with two queen beds, a well designed bathroom, and a secluded patio. The hotel is actually a collection of buildings with seating in a comfortable lobby, a very good restaurant, and a tree covered patio. There is full food service in each of these areas. The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the major sights. In addition to that there is a complimentary shuttle service that is easy to book. Since the hotel offers free on-site parking, navigation is very simple. A delicious breakfast with traditional and Southwestern offerings is included. The strongest recommendation for the hotel is the fabulous staff. Sara and Reyes manage the breakfasts, and are happy to make sightseeing and other suggestions. The desk staff do this also quite cheerfully. At check-in Moonsie spent a lot of time reviewing a local map to make recommendations for dinners out. The hotel feels like a very comfortable home we were always delighted to return to. Clearly the manager treats the staff well since each person we spoke to commented that this is a wonderful place to work. Reyes has been here for 24 years as a result. I look forward to returning.

Extremely friendly staff wonderful lobby and excellent shuttle service. Great restaurant bar on the premises. The room we got number 162 was sort of strange with small windows in a sitting area outside, looking into a wall. But very comfortable and very quiet.
