Hotel Riomar, Ibiza, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

This was a 3 out of 5 for us although the hotel had a lot of good things going for it. I will summarise what was good and what was not so good for us and provide some details after that. The really good features were: - the location; at the end of the lovely Santa Eulalia promenade almost on the beach - long, late ,leisurely breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the sea - the sea view from our room which made it look as if we were on the beach - the staff and the service; they weren't perfect; they weren't the best ever but they were still very good. What disappointed was: - the drawer and shelf space in the room; not enough for a 10 night stay and poorly designed for any length of stay. - untidy finishing touches in the room as if it had been finished in a hurry; all small things; but if someone as unobservant as me can spot them then they are obvious. - the lighting system; as seems usual now there were touch pads with icons to operate the lights; but they were not intuitive and not independent so it was messy trying to get the right lights on and off. - the lighting in the bathroom was inadequate; it was very dull until the mirror light was turned on but even then it wasn't bright enough. - drinks were overpriced; I'd expect significantly higher prices in the hotel than elsewhere but the hotel drinks prices were beyond what I was willing to spend. The breakfast spread didn't offer as much as many other hotels but there was enough variety and the quality of the all the breakfast items was top notch. Breakfast was available from 8:00 to 11:30 and everything was continually refilled throughout that period. We could step out of the back of the hotel onto a path by the beach which led onto the start of the promenade. The drawers. shelves and open hanging space were all part of one wooden floor to ceiling construction. There were three 60 centimetre wide drawers but one of them was almost filled by the safe. The top shelves needed us to be over 6 feet tall to be able to use them (and we are nowhere near that). My calculation of the uplift in drinks prices compared to the restaurants along the front is based on a pint of Estrella. 4Euros50c at the restaurants and 9Euros in the hotel bar. But the hotel pint wasn't the same it was much smaller - I assume an American pint. On which basis I was getting 60% of the beer for twice as much which equates to over 3 times as much. I am not willing to pay that much over the top. That was a shame because the bar looked so inviting. We only ever saw one couple and one person sat alone at the bar in all 10 days of our stay.

Just got back from a fantastic week in this hotel I booked through jet 2 and had the best service all round. The hotel was amazing just like the staff they were all so helpful and nice . The breakfast was a great selection and the rooms were cleaned regularly and very modern. The pool area was amazing with a great setting next to the beautiful beach . Definitely recommend having a massage as well that was top class . My first time in Ibiza and will definitely be coming back next year to my new favourite Hotel

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Riomar, we were blown away by the warm welcome and impeccable service. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The hotel and location were perfect, just a short walk into the town center. Special shoutout to Tony and David at the bar, who crafted delicious cocktails with flair and always had a smile and great conversation ready. Their energy and professionalism truly elevated our evenings. In the restaurant, Nieves provided outstanding service— friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and always ensuring we had everything we needed. Dining here was a pleasure thanks to her thoughtful care. Marta was a gem when it came to activity recommendations. Marta was able to organise a car-hire for us, and provided the best recommendations on how we should spend out time, including the best spot for a truly magical sunset. Her local insights and tailored suggestions helped us discover hidden gems and make the most of our time in the area. By the pool, Franco was incredibly attentive, always ready to provide a drink, or a friendly chat. His attention to detail made our poolside relaxation feel truly luxurious. And last but not least, Giorgi at reception was the epitome of friendly efficiency. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and he was always available to help with any questions or requests. Hotel Riomar is a beautiful property, but it’s the people who make it truly exceptional. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful hotel with outstanding staff service. Every member of staff we met from restaurant staff, poolside staff to concierge were welcoming, attentive and friendly. The breakfast was outstanding with so much choice and everything fresh and frequently replenished. We used the pool, gym, tribe area and beach beds whilst there, all of which were well maintained and clean. Little touches like the towels in the freezer fridge in the gym just added to the experience. Our hotel room was lovely and again excellently serviced each morning. The location is just beautiful with everything you would need in walking distance. Would highly recommend this hotel...you won't be disappointed.
