Our stay at La Fortuna was pure magic!. Everyone working there was always available, helpful and extremely lovely. We stayed for two nights in Bungalow 4 and we loved all about this tiny house especially the fact that it was super private, calm and in the middle of nature surrounded by beautiful fauna and flora and birds chirping. It was also my birthday and Diego, Oscar and Enrique made sure we had the best time ever. (We love you guys＜3 )They even prepared the cutest Welcome Sign for us. Whenever there was a problem or a request we could send them a message from our Bungalow and within seconds they solved the problem. Excellent stay, wonderful staff .. truly an experience we will never forget!

Cute place to stay. Lovely grounds no doubt. Nice wine cellar, food is very good. Breakfast selections are all delicious and wonderfully prepared. Dinner selections are limited to two but all tried were very good. Staff lacks in attention to detail. We had to move rooms for our last night. The staff moved our luggage. They kept a backpack and carryall in reception that we had to go looking for. Also we ordered two carafes of coffee each morning but were generally only given one. Second was always supplied when requested. Unfortunately the location on the lake collects a lot of debris with a south wind or heavy rainfall. Strong runoff adjacent to our unit brought large amount unsightly debris to thwart shoreline.

La fortuna is just a dream! One of the most unique places I’ve stayed. The food was good and I enjoyed meeting the other travelers during dinner! We kayaked which was a lot of fun and woke up every morning to the stunning views. I had wanted to come here for years and so glad I finally did. The staff was so kind and helpful.

Well,how should I start? This place is magic and we are surely coming back here.The internet pictures don't do it justice, it's picture perfect! The location is so beautiful! It's very much booked out most of the time but we got lucky to be able to spend two nights here. We stayed in a small bungalow #3 very privately in the back of the property and it was magic. We fell in love with the outdoor bathroom and the natural surroundings.The staff is super friendly and very helpful. They'll explain everything right after the booking is completed and there's no guessing. Breakfast and dinner were very delicious and easy to order online. The coffee is out of this world. We weren't able to use the kayaks or the paddle boards nor the sauna due to our timeframe exploring the villages nearby but will make time for it in future visits.

We enjoyed our stay of 1 night! We signed up for the dinner which was really good and fun. Almost everyone at the hotel attended the group dinner. There were animation, games and a quiz. Would definitely recommend to stay there if you are in Santa Cruz.

AMAZING! I planned my trip to La Fortuna for an entire year and it was everything I hoped it would be and more. I went with a group of girlfriends from around the world and celebrated my 30th birthday. Everyones jaws DROPPED when we got our first glimpse of the property from the boat, and they stayed dropped as we got a tour of our rooms! We stayed in Suite 1, Petite Bungalow 3&4, and Deluxe Suite 5. Every room was perfect and we played musical showers because we wanted to experience all of the outdoor bathrooms! The hotel staff were so kind, caring, and accommodating. We created a group chat with them and they were incredibly responsive. Big shout out to Oscar and Liza, they made us feel right at home!! We spent our days relaxing in the mornings - don't forget to book a massage! In the afternoons we would hop over to the other cities and explore. Overall, this was an amazing stay and I would highly recommend La Fortuna Atitlan for solo trips, girls trips, family trips, or couple trips!!

Mi estadía en La Fortuna fue una verdadera decepción. Desde el momento en que llegamos, nos dimos cuenta de que no íbamos a tener la paz y tranquilidad que esperábamos. Había albañiles trabajando justo al lado de nuestra habitación, haciendo un ruido insoportable. El día siguiente, a las 7 de la mañana nos despertó el sonido de los martillazos. Además, los albañiles ponían música a alto volumen, lo que hacía imposible descansar. Los albañiles tenían vista directa a nuestra cabaña, cero privacidad. Habíamos elegido este hotel con la esperanza de relajarnos y disfrutar de unas vacaciones tranquilas, pero desafortunadamente, la experiencia fue todo lo contrario. La administración del hotel debería haber informado a los huéspedes sobre las obras en curso y tomado medidas para minimizar las molestias. La solución de ellos fue devolvernos el dinero y desalojarnos para que “no perdieran la oportunidad de alojar a otro cliente”. Fue una terrible experiencia y ciertamente no vale la pena el precio pagado.
