GGuest UserWaiting in line for coffee was an annoyance but still didn’t diminish the luxury feel of my stay. The largest inconvenience was the gates after 10. My first time someone was waiting there right away, but the second time I had to exit my vehicle and call from the buzzer to no answer. I only got voicemail. Eventually got in, but I was very uncomfortable in that dark area by myself, and it took long enough for someone else to pull in behind me. I appreciated the super convenient filtered water and laundry amenities that I wish were standard everywhere. I asked for a printed receipt, but their printer was down and they assured me I’d get an email, which I haven’t. Trip.com does not seem to have registered that I completed my stay, so there is something iffy among their booking and trip.com’s ledger.

GGallegosCheck in was easy and they had everything ready once we arrived around 5pm. The hotel general areas and room were very clean. There is a free breakfast but we decided to go to McDonalds and Ferrell's Donuts, which are both just a minute walk away. Parking was $10/day. The parking garage is under the hotel but not secured with a gate in case that's a concern for you.

GGuest UserOverall the stay is great. Location is good near beach, near restaurants and supermarket. It was advertised as it is. My kids are impressed with the room - clean and spacious Breakfast provided - the spread is not bad Service - the staff are helpful and warm especially Jane and Christine For Christine, she helped us to get a cab upon the day of check out. Uber cancelled on us few times which we are going to SAn Francisco International Airport. Or else we will miss the flight. Surrounding environment around hotel - safe ,less homeless I was very impressed as I read up many reviews before my booking with Hampton Inn West Santa Cruz Worth the stay and money

GGuest UserCute hotel, gives off a nice modern/fun vibe with the entrance and lobby. I only did a quick overnight stay so didn’t get to check out the amenities. My room was clean and comfortable. Wasn’t a big fan of the only natural light/window being the full entrance wall which anyone can walk by and look right in, so had to keep the curtain shut the whole time. I’d stay here again to check everything out, hopefully wouldn’t be put back on the first floor.

GGnochebuenaNever had to write this bad of a review. Terrible experience for the what I spent on. First front reception impression was bad. 2 receptionists, one on the phone helping a lady with an issue. She seemed very stressed. The gentleman helping the rest of us making a line. When it was my turn, my card wouldnt go through. When the lady receptionist was done with the call she seemed like she was about to get a mental breakdown. He then decided to try my card on her side and was successfully processed. He didn’t explain or gave me any instructions about the key. Key needed to work the elevators and power in the rooms I had to figure it out on my own. He Didn’t offer or explained parking, I went back after we unloaded our stuff drove around and found out there was no place to park. The receptionist pretty much just processed my card. I stayed 3 nights and no one went into my room to take trash or pick up the dirty towels. Only thing they did was put a set of clean towels the night before my check out day and that’s about it. I was given an accessible room. I did not ask for one. A light on a night stand were unplugged. Found multiple lotto tickets inside the pull out bed. Toilet paper handle was broken. By the way…..what kind of bar closes at 8? The bartender didn’t seem professional or welcoming. When checking out I was asked how I wanted my receipt. On paper or email. I told her I rather get an email. I checked out around 8am and it’s 435pm and I haven’t received my email. The only people I will say were amazing at their job were the valet guys. They were friendly, helpful and did their job.

LLIHONGDue to the temporary change of travel needs to stay, find a few places are full of room, the sky is already black, just grab one, just have a place to sleep, compared to the previous accommodation, this is expensive and poor cost-effective. The only thing that left a good impression was that the small restaurant next to it was good and the dishes tasted good.

HHuiThe hotel is located in a valley, there is a stream outside the room, the balcony door is open, the stream is gurgling (this sound is so healing), the room is super big, with two 1.35 beds, the concentration of oxygen ions in the air is very high The only regret is that the water was cut off when taking a shower

GGuest UserFriendly staff. Clean room. Great location. A few things would have made it so much better- simple hooks to hang clothes in the bathroom or vanity area, shampoo/conditioner/bodywash dispensers in the shower, higher quality towels, and COFFEE anywhere  in the room or even in the office.  I’d likely not stay here again as others in the area are similar priced and have better amenities.

PphtkymIts location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the air conditioner was so noisy, it kept running for the whole night and kept generating unpleasant noise during our sleep. Also, the microwave was not functioning properly, it couldn’t be used after just a few minutes of microwaving food (which we think it failed due to overheating), and we had to wait for more than 10 minutes before it could be used again. We had to move the microwave from the shelf under the TV to another locaton so that it can be cooled down faster.
