Very friendly and helpful staff. Most of the scenic spots are located on the other side of the river but it’s a nice and enjoyable walk across the river to the attractions and restaurants.

Great cute hotel along the river in Coimbra. Lovely lounge area and outside patios. Simple clean rooms! Good variety for breakfast and the staff are all so welcoming. We booked here because it was listed as a recommendation on a Rick Steves tour.

Gostamos muito e já há alguns anos que somos clientes. Recionistas prestaveis, mas podiam, se quiserem ser, melhores. Bons quartos, boa localização e estacionamento perto. Só é pena o pequeno almoço. Muito pobre e sempre mais do mesmo. A rever por favor.

First note we found this hotel rather hard to find driving and using our GPS. They have no parking but there is paid parking within a block and free overnight. The staff was welcoming and friendly from check in on and spoke english. Our room was nice and surprisingly quiet give this place is on a busy street. Breakfast was good. The location is across the river from the city center, we found it a pleasant 5 minute walk to and from but we saw a number of hotels right at the foot of the city more convenient to sights. If you don't mind this location, it is a good value for what you get and I can recommend it as a good place to stay.

The location is good; just across the river from Coimbra, so it was a short walk up the main street. The hotel rooms are in two side-by-side buildings filled with interior staircases and odd little spaces. Our room looked like (from the map on the door) it was one of the bigger ones, but it also has two Murphy beds beside the one double bed. The bathroom is small, and the sink is tiny with no stopper. And there’s really no place to put anything in the bathroom. I can’t imagine four people sharing that bathroom. Other people in our group complained about having small rooms, so there was clearly lots of variation. Everything was very clean and the staff were very nice. There is a small patio behind the basement-level breakfast room, but no one was using it during our stay.

Great location. AC only produces heat but you CAN open window to the noisy street to cool things. Nice shower. But lacks a towel rack. Nice basic breakfast buffet. Floor in 201 “cracks” when you walk. Not particularly quiet. Excellent internet. Mid-range cost. Add pros and cons and it feels average 🤔

On a busy street that feeds one of the main bridges over the Modego River, the hotel is at first intimidating to locate & park at, and unloading luggage. Once inside, the rooms are standard EU class but it is the staff that made the difference for us. Isabel in particular was extremely friendly and helpful with advice- free parking at several spots, free shuttle van, possibly the nicest laundromat in the world (!), and restaurant options. She and the staff were tremendous, so I would recommend a stay there on tour of Portugal. Cheers.

Posizione eccellente, vicino a enorme Park sotterraneo gratuito e alla città vecchia. Al di là del ponte ricche pasticcerie per la colazione sia italiana che anglosassone. Camera ampia,con spazio per le valigie. Receptionists accoglienti. Bagno minimale, colazione meglio andar fuori. Vista pessima ma qualche camera ce l'avrà migliore.
